YO. I Main Honda and outside of the sim match up i find my hardest matches to be solid Abel's. Not only do roll mix ups screw my charge but i get beat air to air as well. We Honda's do like to jump after all.
Do i need to play a more general ground game in this match up? I find that if i can get them into a footsies game i can pull out some wins. Its just once the roll mix up starts and they are in my booty i find it hard to get out. Any and all advice would be sweet.
Peace!

I usually just throw when he rolls around like that. I think that with Honda, you can Oicho throw. However, if you decide to do a normal grab (Jab and Short) throw them in the direction of the nearest corner so you can slap pressure him and sumo splash or nj.fierce if he tries to jump. If he tries to roll, you can throw him right back in there and repeat.

AFAIK you can grab Abel out of his roll at anytime, so if he is rolling right in your grill then just toss him. Otherwise, once he starts pressure, backdashing can be a good option. It just sucks cause he is such a 50/50 character and a proficient player will have a ton of answers for any escape.
ps: I hate abel.

Yeah i Grab sloppy rolls most times. Its just once they time the roll right into a Dash command grab or mix up that gets me on my back heel. I also find that nj fierce can be a bit unsafe on him can heel tends to beat it.
Thanks for the advice hand presure in the corner is a key no doubt. Can't let the man be a walking question mark. Also i need to use my back dash more indeed in those mix ups situations. One of the many short comings of my game no doubt. Thank's for the input Sirs.
PS. Abel can suck many dicks. I fucking hate U2. The band and the second Ultra.

I realized some days ago that my Makoto just wasn't very good. I'm probably better than most Makotos online but that doesn't mean much. My Sakura, who I'm not using that often, is actually better than My Makoto and my Cammy, who has only been my secondary and who I haven't been using that much ever since I got Super is also still way ahead of her. I'm leveling up and I'm making progress in finding my problems and stepping my game up in general and so on, but there is one matchup I just can't seem to win: Boxer.
I always thought it was one of her hardest matchups and at least a 3-7, but now I feel like it might be her worst matchup.
Any good ideas on that matchup?
Oh and: I don't see the problem with Abel's U2. The only times I get hit by that are when I'm mindfucked anyway or when I fuck up. It's a good ultra and great for punishing, but I really don't find it overpowered at all.

Just general advice on Balrog is to focus a lot and grab him out of his ex rushes. I know Cammy has a rough time though cause she likes ot attack from the air and allegedly c.fp from rog beats out all her shit.
Id probably stay in footsies range, try to LVL 2 focus his sweeps and maybe tag him with a combo if he fucks up. Otherwise, kinda hard if you cant zone him.
plan b: play sagat.

Oh, I meant the Makoto - Boxer matchup. It's hard for Cammy too, but it's managable. Sorry I didn't make clear which matchup I was talking about.

Oh god.. haha.. Man so I was messing with Makoto for a while and there were two match ups that drove me insane: Balrog and Guile. They actually feel unwinnable, like completely hopeless. Not even sure what to tell you. From my experiences anytime I tried to get in and wile out with Makoto I'd just get owned up by c.jab.

That's almost what I feel like as well. At least against Guile once I'm in i can do some damage, it's just the getting in part which seems impossible against a lame Guile. But Boxer? No getting in, no getting out, and even when I'm in he can get out pretty well anyway.
