I thought I'd start a thread to discuss all things Kombat related. New and old. I'm just going to start by throwing my two cents in to the mix:

Really stoked about MK9 next year! Also I think MK vs DCU was a good game, i think it got a bad rap by too many people who couldn't see past the "no M rating" and see that the fighting engine was solid and the graphics, sound, and animation were extremely good. Always been a fan of both street fighter and mortal kombat and glad to see that the next mortal kombat game looks strong and might be just what the franchise needs to give it the street cred it deserves again.

Yeah i used to take the city bus down to the mall to play MK2 with my friend on the weekends back when i was in middle school. Good times. I saw on an interview vid that Konquest mode is out. Which was a cool part of deadly alliance i thought (pretty in depth considering it was just a fighting game's "side game". But Theres some type of tag team mode in it that might be interesting. You and a friend fighting two other people online (or local) sounds like a blast. I agree that they are smart to return to the roots. Just about everyone i know of, including myself, things that MK1-3 are the heart of the franchise, and Ed Boon seems to agree based on what he's said in interviews.
