Hmm... I know it's not the most useful tool in his arsenal, but I feel Guy's air command grab (the Izuna Otoshi/Hayabusa Izuna Drop) could at least be mentioned here for completion's sake.
some corrections in the matchup... guile and honda are easily his worst matchups.. gief ,bison are fairly even... also TK izuna and C.MP are great anti-airs
"Crouching Heavy Punch is fairly fast and can be a decent close to mid-range poke. However, it cannot be cancelled into other Special Moves and has no combo potential. All Ranges: 100 Damage/200 Stun"
You can combo "Crouching Heavy Punch" into "Standing Medium Punch" which you can then cancel into EX Hozanto or whatever you like.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm going to implement this now.
blanka, guile, ehonda. his worst match-ups.
you should also add that his hozanto can be linked with bushin hazoken. lol it's not that useless
man, does this need a lot of work.
Guy's worst matchup is easily against Honda true, but Balrog/Boxer is almost as bad and way tougher then Guile (though thats still a tough matchup), the main thing that makes the Honda matchup harder is Oicho throw and U2 give Honda grappler type abilities. Guy's worst matchups are
1. Honda
2. Balrog/Boxer
3. Guile
4. Blanka
Notice anything in common ?, with the exception of Deejay Guy doesn't do well against charge characters in general, anyone who's put a reasonable amount of time into him will agree.
Should also note that there is an Air Ninja Sickle, I wasn't aware of it until my brother picked up Guy (my usual main) to try him out. Its just down and heavy kick while in the air, not sure if it shows up on his move lists (didn't check) but no sites seem to have information about it, and its an amazing antiair kick and great for baiting something into something, it also knocks back pretty far.
I disagree with the bad matchup list in the comments. Honda will find it very hard to escape once he is downed, by pressuring him with elbow drops in the right places. His ex moves won't work and you'' just get a free hit. Blanka can also be pressured on his wake up game with the crouchin medium kick. You'll be surprised how often they don't block on wake up. On wake up you may get hit by ex blanka move, but u can still counter that with a run slide! Honda is similarly punishable with ex hozanto/slide depending on which headbutt you block.
Bad matchups I would say are akuma sakura, bison and balrog and perhaps cammy. But sakura might be just a personal problem for me. I don't mean your average players, but the ones that actually know how to play against guy and don't stand there to get bushin flipped each time.
If you play an akuma who knows how to make you guess on your wake up, you''ll find it real difficult.
Blanka is a easy matchup for guy just use his universal weaknesses. Target combo MP>HP beats his normal electricity wake-ups (time it)but, not his ex. version or roll. After blocked rolls run>slide on his recovery (time it). For ultra1 do empty jump or elbow drop fake hold up after these moves it's a 1frame block (i think), if you are the one in the corner this move could cross you up avoid this if you have half your life left. C.lk,c.lp,and mix-ups are ur friends run>stop and overheads could lose the game your not a skilled player of reading players. Also remember he has to come towards you (may trick grab or cross up) so watch>wait>punish. N SSF4 they HATE GUY N LOVE RYU
You can also Ex-Hazanto ---> Fadc -----> Ultra 1 in the corner it works I use it when I have to :)
