From the team that put together Sunroute Cup (with MOV) comes a double feature 3s weekend!!

First, the sought after North American 3s qualifier spot for Super Battle Opera 2010! This year the SBO bracket will only have 16 teams, making this years qualifier spot more important than ever.

Then, a throwback tournament to the most intense days of 3s, the Return of World Championships of 3s! For those who are not familiar...

The original World Championships of 3rd Strike happened at Family Fun Arcade in 2004, the weekend before EVO2K4. With EVO shifting from arcade 3rd Strike to Super Guns and Console, 3rd Strike players at FFA wanted to remain true to the game and run a tournament that was made for 3rd Strike Players. World Championships of 3rd Strike hosted players from Japan like Umehara, KO, Kokujin, Sugiyama, KSK, Chikyuu Sodom, RF, some of the best from Canada like C-Royd, and of course America's best past and present such as Pyrolee, Justin Wong, Vic Vance, Frankie3s, 5 Star, Paulee, Mike Watson, KoFiend as well as the beginning of the careers of many famous players today like Gootecks (this was his first tournament!).

As EVO2K10 no longer runs 3rd Strike, the group of players that brought Sunroute Cup has decided to bring back World Championships of 3rd Strike as the 3rd Strike tournament of the year for 3rd Strike players. World Championships of 3rd Strike aims to keep the competitive spirit of 3rd Strike alive and we would like to see as many dedicated 3rd Strike players attend as possible. Along with SBO Quals, I think this will be a great weekend for 3rd Strike players.
