« Persona 4: Arena has the Best First Week Sales in Japan of Any Console Fighting Game Released in the Past Four Years »
The Beast Note Blog is reporting that Persona 4: Arena is knocking it out of the park so far in Japan when it comes to console sales. The game was the most popular fighting game in Japanese arcades for sometime so it's to be expected, but the console release is really blowing every other fighting game out of the water in terms of numbers.
These sales numbers come courtesy of a post on NeoGAF via Media Create which is a long time Japanese console software market researcher. Between the PS3 and 360 version of the game, it sold around 138,000 copies in four days. The next game that even came close was the release of Tekken 6 on PS3 which sold around 103,000 copies in its first week.
Beast Note has a full breakdown of the P4A sales numebrs and their relation to all the other main stream fighters that have been released in recent years. Check it out to see how things shake out.
