The Nintendo E3 briefing introduced the latest character coming to the next Super Smash Bros. games!

Palutena, a major character from the Kid Icarus series, will be premiering in the SSB series for the first time through the Wii U and 3DS games. The trailer featured an anime introduction where Lady Palutena interrupts a fight between Kid Icarus' main protagonist Pit and The Legend of Zelda's Link. Gameplay footage of her various moves was also featured.

Pit's doppelganger Black Pit was also shown but no other details were given aside from a conversation with Palutena.
