« Cloud Strife Coming to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS »

One of Final Fantasy's most popular protagonists will be joining the latest Super Smash Bros. roster.

The Nov. 12, 2015, Nintendo Direct stream concluded with a trailer revealing that Cloud Strife will be playable in both Wii U and 3DS versions of Super Smash Bros. Available in both his original form and his Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children attire, the trailer shows off Cloud's iconic Buster Sword, his limit breaks and various materia from the game. In addition to Cloud, players can also get access to a new stage with the city of Midgar as the backdrop.

No official release date for Cloud has been announced so stay tuned for more information. Along with the character announcement, Nintendo will be hosting a special dedicated Super Smash Bros. stream on December. You can check out the trailer from the Nintendo Direct stream archive below!
