The documentary that answers the question: "What is the FGC?" is coming early next year to watch.

Hold Back to Block's FGC: Rise of the Fighting Game Community is scheduled for release on Jan. 12, 2016. This includes footage of various fighting game tournaments as well as interviews with players and key people in the scene.

The documentary met financial success after being funded on Kickstarter back in December 2013 with supporters contributing over $10,000. Rewards from the campaign will be given out sometime after the documentary comes while digital copies will be provided on release.
