« Announcement Trailer for Super Smash Bros. Melee Mod "20XX Tournament Edition" »
A Smasher has created a special competitive modification for Super Smash Bros. Melee without the need for a hacked console.
Titled the 20XX Tournament Edition and developed by Project M team member Dan Salvatom, this umbrella mod contains various individual features meant for competition all in one single Nintendo GameCube memory card. The 200XXTE file can be loaded to any GameCube or Nintendo Wii without any hacking required. The consoles only need a copy of Melee version NTSC 1.02 to run the mod.
Features in the mod include a 16:9 widescreen mode, stage restarting, stage freezing and more. You can check out the announcement trailer after the jump!
A closed beta for tournament organizers will be available on May 2015 while the full public release will be on August 2015. You can preorder the public release memory card here!
