« Mewtwo Coming to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS on April 28, Lucas Returning in June »
Both the legendary psychic Pokemon and the Mother 3 protagonist will be coming to the latest Super Smash Bros. games.
Shown during the April 1 Nintendo Direct stream, Mewtwo, first appearing in Super Smash Bros. Melee, will come to both versions of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS on April 28. He will be available for free through a download code for those who registered both versions of the game, while everyone else can pay for him for one platform ($3.99) or both ($4.99).
Also, Lucas—who first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl—will be returning later in June. No other details were featured for the Mother character.
To coincide with Mewtwo's release, Nintendo will release an update for Smash that features a way to download future content, balance changes to the existing cast and Wii U sharing functionality.
