« Ryu & Roy Downloadable Content for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS Available Now »
Two more characters are in the latest Super Smash Bros. games following rumors and leaks.
Nintendo announced in their special live stream that Street Fighter's Ryu and Fire Emblem's Roy are now available as paid downloadable content. Roy is returning to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS after his absence from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Instead of being a slightly different palette swap from Marth as he was in Super Smash Bros. Melee, the reveal trailer shows Roy gaining different moves while still retaining some others. Meanwhile, Street Fighter's Ryu will be making his debut in the series. Many of his iconic special moves are featured as well as abilities to focus attack, parry and more.
Players can get Roy for $3.99 on a single platform or $4.99 for both Wii U and 3DS while Ryu, and a rendition of his popular Street Fighter II stage, will cost $5.99 and $6.99 respectively.
Other information included a tournament mode coming in August as well as the original Super Smash Bros. version of Dreamland to be released for $1.99.
