« Brook releasing 360/XB1 & PS3/PS4 to Wii U Super Converters soon »

Players with controllers or sticks from either Microsoft's or Sony's consoles can soon use them on the Nintendo Wii U with two new converters from Brook.

The Taiwan company's Super Converter line will expand to the Wii U with two models. One model will require an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller while the other will need one for PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4. Being a USB device, the converter doesn't require a Wiimote to connect but rather fits directly onto the Wii U console. The PS3/PS4 version of the Super Converter will feature instant wireless support with the Dual Shock 3 and Dual Shock 4 controllers while the 360/XB1 build will need an Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for the original 360 controller.

While details are still light, the box art more or less shows that they can work with both Pokkén Tournament or Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The release date for these Super Converters has yet to be announced but make sure to stay tuned to your favorite arcade parts supplier to see if they will carry them.
