« Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 coming spring 2017 with new characters, changes »

After the end of Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- at the Arc System Works Fighting Game Award 2017, the company announced a new update for the game that will be coming this spring.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 will feature two additional playable characters: "The Business Ninja" Answer, who is Chipp's chief of staff, and a returning Baiken. According to ASW's Pachi and Daisuke Ishiwatari, the design team is trying to retain Baiken's original playstyle while making her more offensive. For Answer, the two said he will be able to gain immense speed under certain circumstances.

The game will also be rebalanced and new moves will be added, with the balance changes being bigger than the previous patches. The first location test will run Jan. 20-22, 2017, in Japan.

Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 will be coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Steam as a paid downloadable update. Arc System Works has said more information will be coming soon. Players can check out the reveal trailer as well as images for Answer and Baiken below.
