« Nintendo Switch 3.0 update brings Pokkén Pro Pad &, inadvertently, Brook Universal Fighting Board compatibility »

The new major update for the Nintendo Switch discreetly introduces special controller compatibility including one popular multiplatform board.
The 3.0 firmware for the Switch includes various functionality changes and additions for the system. It also had an unlisted feature by allowing support for the Wii U Pokkén Pro Pad by Hori. This is very likely to prepare for the release of Pokkén Tournament DX in September of this year. The only caveat is that it might require the Switch's Joycons to navigate outside the games.
Owners of the Brook Universal Fighting Board should know that the PCB can also work with the updated Switch. Since one of the UFB's modes emulates a Pokkén Pro Pad, players can press and hold the 1K/LK button while plugging into the Switch. From tests, one player noted that the UFB does work with Ultra Street Fighter II. Those who updated the UFB to the latest firmware or recently bought the board should have Pokkén Pro Pad support already installed.
As of recent memory, Brook has been working on Switch compatibility with their Wii U Super Converters with new firmware planned in the near future.
