« Krillin and Piccolo added to Dragon Ball FighterZ roster »

Two more characters are joining the fight in DBFZ as series icons Krillin and Piccolo were revealed in the latest issue of V-Jump magazine.

Piccolo is said to possess "a variety of methods to break the opponent’s guard," as he can stretch his arms to grab opponents and also can charge his beam attacks.

Krillin, meanwhile, has both low power and reach but he can use many different attacks including the Kamehameha and the unblockable Destructo Disc.

The article also briefly describes the upcoming title's online mode, which will contain chibi characters navigating a world much like Guilty Gear Xrd's online lobbies.

With Krillin and Piccolo revealed, the number of characters in DBFZ is nine, which is the same number that was said to be in the game's upcoming closed beta.

Players will be able to sign up for beta starting on July 26, 2017, for either Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Bandai Namco has not stated how many players will be allowed in the beta or exactly how long it will last.
