NEOGEO X Now Accepting Pre-Orders

Distributor Tommo and SNK Playmore are now allowing pre-orders of the upcoming NEOGEO X handheld.

For North American customers interested, GameStop's online store is providing the pre-orders. They will start by releasing the Gold edition on December featuring not only the main handheld but also a docking station for charging and playing on television sets and a joystick. The Gold will be priced at $199.99 with the bonus fighter Ninja Master's while getting an extra stick will cost $49.99. The handheld only will be at $129.99 and released February next year.

NEO GEO X GOLD Handheld Coming to North America on December 6th, Includes TV Docking Station and Joystick

SNK Playmore is set to release the NEO GEO X GOLD here in North America via Tommo come December 6th and will cost you 200 bucks. While that may sound like a lot for a handheld like this, it includes a TV docking station that allows you to hook it up through HDMI or composite inputs and play the the games using an authentic Neo Geo joystick which is also included.

Beyond that, the system has 20 pre-loaded games (find the list after the jump) and is said to have a memory slot that allows you to load more games onto the system. How this will work has yet to be determined, though it is sorely needed as the list of pre-loaded games will leave most of us wishing for more.
