New Screenshots of The Rumble Fish 2 for NESiCA x Live

Many of you probably recall that DIMPS -- the developers of Street Fighter 4 -- recently acquired the rights to The Rumble Fish series. Since then they have started a "revival" process of the game by re-releasing it in Japanese arcades via NESiCA x Live. This version includes balance updates and a new "Double Impact" system, though details on what it is exactly are not known just yet. More updates will be addd into the game post-release.

Rumble Fish Restart Project Begins this Summer with an Arcade Re-release

DIMPS is bringing The Rumble Fish 2 back to Japanese arcades this summer with a re-release using the Taito NESiCAxLive system. The game will apparently have various changes that will be detailed on the official website soon. 

This news comes in just about a week after DIMPS revealed that they now own the full rights to the game. Andria Sang stated that this arcade re-release is the first entry into the "restart project" so there is most likely more Rumble Fish news on the way. 

Dimps Acquires Rights to Rumble Fish Series

Professor over at MMCAFE translated a recent blog post on DIMPS (co-developer of Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter x Tekken) website where they announced that they now own the rights to the Rumblefish series. This series was previously owned by SEGA but now Dimps has full control and posted on the games official website that new information is coming soon. Could a possible sequel be on the way?
