« FINAL ISSUE OF EGM: STREET FIGHTER IV »

So, I doubt it's news to anyone at this point that UGO bought out 1up.com and EGM was shut down in the process a little earlier this week. Final negotiations were made, people were laid off and it appeared the last issue of EGM would be pretty uneventful: a cover featuring Wolverine. 

I don't have anything against the X-men, I actually enjoyed the movies, but having that Marvel series as the cover didn't really seem like the appropriate farewell issue. Thankfully, the true last cover of EGM has surfaced over the past day and it features a much more appropriate game: Street Fighter IV.

Anyone who has been reading EGM for as long as I have can agree that Street Fighter is a much more appropriate final cover. It's a game most all of us can relate to much more than any X-men game.

The Issue wont be available in print but instead will be available on 1up.com in PDF format. I'll post an update when it is available for download.
