« iPlayWinner Site Updates & News »
Hey hey, what's crackin'? You guys ready for a wild weekend of hype West Coast & East Coast tournaments? I know I am. I'll be streaming HADOCON all day tomorrow, while our boys over at Team Spooky will be holding it down both Saturday and Sunday for NEC. Yup, I'll be the ultimate stream monster on Sunday, you can count on that.
In the meantime I wanted to give everyone a heads up on a few changes here on iPlayWinner and what it means for you as a reader. We have a lot of cool stuff planned in the future -- yeah yeah, what else is new -- but check out all these new updates below.
Team Spooky Merger
Of course the big news this past week is the merger between iPlayWinner and Team Spooky. We are combining forces to bring you guys the best Fighting Game live streams, media and content week by week. This is something Spooky and myself have been planning for quite sometime now, and finally hammered out all the details just recently.
A lot of people were pretty surprised about this move, but to us it just made perfect sense. We feel we can get a lot more done by working together and covering Fighting Game events from both the East and West Coast.

We felt that by having one place to where all our fans can go to get up to speed on everything we're up to makes far more sense then constantly cross posting, retweeting and all that other internet nonsense.
This is just the beginning, and we're off to a great start. Thanks to everyone's overwhelming support, and stay tuned for more cross over projects between iPW and TS.
If you guys have any cool ideas and or just general thoughts on the merger, post up in the comments and let your voice be heard!
Justin TV / GamesCast TV
Many of you probably noticed both iPlayWinner and Team Spooky have a new home at Justin.tv. In our first week we've seen great success by switching over, with our weekly streams seeing double the viewers than they usually do, so we're very pleased so far.
One concern I see pop up a lot though is the "international viewer cap" that at a certain point would kick viewers from overseas.
This is not an issue on either the iPlayWinner OR Team Spooky Justin.v channels.
Justin.tv contacted us directly, and we mentioned this was out number one reason for not using them. Since then, they have removed the international viewer cap for us, so no matter where you live, you can always tune into what we're broadcasting.
Also, keep in mind we're partners with GamesCast TV now. What this means for you, is that you can go to either one of our GamesCast pages and see what events we have planned or simply watch the stream live from there. You can chat using the Justin.tv chat so it's just the same as if you were watching from Justin.tv. You can also find other cool streams from other broadcasters there and genrally stay up to date on what's going on in the live stream e-sports -- God I hate that word -- world.
Live Stream Schedule
I recently added a Live Stream Schedule to the right side bar which will keep you up to date on both iPlayWinner and Team Spooky live streams. There are still a few tweaks and adjustments I'd like to make, like the order that the events show up in, but over all this will be your one stop to quickly see what we have planned in the immediate future.
This feed is powered by our friends over at GamesCast.
Contact & Donate
I also redesigned the Donate page and added a Contact page -- both links are on the top navigation bar there. By going to the contact page you can get in touch with the iPlayWinner Staff and also Team Spooky for pretty much anything. We also have a form on this same page that you can fill out if you're interested in advertising on the website or our live streams.
The Donate page is completley different now as well. You can easily donate to either iPlayWinner or Team Spooky by hitting this page and clicking either link. Your donations help us more than you can imagine, as we are constantly travelling and buying new gear to bring you guys the best of the best Fighting Game content.

All in all, as I mentioned, the feedback from you guys on all these topics has been great, but keep sending us your ideas and what you'd like to see! Either way, enjoy the streams this weekend!
