« KING OF FIGHTERS XIII Technical Reference Chapter 8 & Aim for Tougeki Episode 2 »

King of Fighters XIII Technical Reference Chapter 8 surfaced today, this time showcasing Yagami Team which consists of Iori, Vice and Mature. Iori has always been a fan favorite, but as most of you know SNK changed up his style a bit in King of Fighters XII -- this video will show you what's new in KOFXIII.

Also, according to Cyberfanatix, the 25 minute clip we posted a day or so ago is actually called "Aim for Tougeki" and a new episode was uploaded today. The premise of the show is one of the voice actors for the game, Mitsuhiro Ichiki (Ash Crimson), trains with Japanese KOF players to help up his game. This episode is Ichiki (Terry, Ryo, Kyo) vs. M’ (Clark, Kensou, Raiden).

i dont play these games nor do i understand them but three hit combos doing 80 percent damage looks and sounds like a broken game to me.

If KOF wants to sell fighting games to north america they need to rethink the art style. Gameplay looks a little boring as well. SF, MvC, MK. Everything else who cares imo.

Naysayers crashing comments with nothing to say.

if kof's not your style, don't click the link. plenty of gamers in the US are waiting on this game to make up for the sourness that was xii

"three hit combos doing 80 percent damage"
You're talking about basically an EX Super(!) into Ultra, a feat only possible when you're one round from losing, and if you've actually saved up bar during most of the fight.

i really can't wait...
kof has always been one of my favorite fighting game series
@J i'm not sure if this is the only video you've seen for this game, but if that is the case please check out previous tournament level games. to me this game is far from boring. give it a try, i think you'll like it

First off I'm sorry I didn't notice the sign proclaiming fanboy's only. Second off I'm not quite sure how I would know the game's not my style if I didn't click the link to begin with?

Peace.

"i dont play these games nor do i understand them but three hit combos doing 80 percent damage looks and sounds like a broken game to me."
Only going to happen in the last round if you saved up meter for it. So last rounds can be very high damage, but the others won't be. Better than the ultra system IMO.

"Gameplay looks a little boring as well"
Don't see how shorthops, highjumps, rolls, and command/special move canceling somehow make it more boring than SF4.

I'm really starting to look forward to this game, never played a kof before, and it looks really interesting. I want to see some more proper Takuma play, he's the only character I'm interested in playing atm, I like his stance.

I'm looking forward to this game. But damn, Iori is not some pansy nail slashing guy! Iori is all about insane, uncontrollable and raw power! ): Give him his dark flames back...

I thought you just needed 3 super bars and a full max bar

btw...game looks AMAZING! Fast paced and deep

I hope the characters will have more specials than were shown in the clip. Ravenous spam was a lovely tool for Vice to have and one of the reasons I played her for so many years.

Of course, with Iori's change as precedent, I can't really count on things staying the same, now can I?
