« New 2D Arcade Fighter: Chaos Code »

Chaos Code, developed by FK Digital, recently had a location test in Japanese arcades.A new 2D arcade fighter has recently went on location test in Japanese arcades. It is called Chaos Code and it is developed by FK Digital, based out of Australia.
According to Andriasang, who got the information from 4Gamer (Japanese), videogames are not their primary business and this game is their first arcade title. 4Gamer got in contact with Michael and Mickey Lin, who are the directors of the game as well as being siblings.
According to Mickey, the selling point of the game is its personable characters and simple gameplay systems. They believe that because he game isn't too complicated or "new", beginner players will be able to enjoy the game.
Mickey went on to say that the staff has taken influence from The King of Fighters and Capcom vs SNK for the art style of the game. Development of the game started in Australia, but it is currently being done in FK Digital's Taiwanese studio. According to Michael, they are being helped with technology and marketing by a Japanese company that they would not name.
When asked about a console or PC release, Michael said that the game was originally planned as an online PC game and for two years was developed to that end. They moved away from that original plan because they thought they would encounter difficulty in doing paid downloadable content items for a 2D fighting game. Im sure they are watching BlazBlue: Continuum Shift's forey into that area with interest.
The game is currently 80% complete. The game's arcade release date will depend on the results of the location test, but Mickey stated that if the game didn't release by the end of this year that they'd have it out by next Spring.
