Hector Sanchez, producer for Mortal Kombat 9, gave a few choice quotes to NowGamer about the potential of a Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter.

Sanchez told told NowGamer that, “Ed Boon pitched Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter over ten years ago.” It obviously hasn't panned out to this date, but a lot has changed over the last few years due to the resurgence of fighting games as a genre. Sanchez stated that it could still happen in the future.  He said, “I think it’s inevitable.”
