« New details on Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition's online play »
Courtesy of Andriasang, details on Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition's online component has emerged from the latest issue of Famitsu. According to Andriasang's report, Capcom states that your standard fare of online multiplayer options will be included, such as quick match, custom match and friend match. You'll also be able to play locally through the 3DS' "download play" feature.
While that's all well and good, there might be some bad news in all of this for some of you looking to play with friends online; that's right, friend codes are back. You'll have to enter in your friend's code before you'll be able to invite them to a friend match. As Andriasang points out later in the report, Famitsu doesn't mention whether or not these friend codes are specific to Super Street Fighter IV: 3D edition or if it's shared across all of the 3DS' titles. Here's to hoping they are shared across all titles.
