In a live episode of Wakeup, Shoryuken yesterday, MrWizard announced the news all of us have been waiting for: this year's EVO 2011 lineup! Most of the games announced are what you'd expect, but there are a couple of surprises in there. Check out the list after the break.
- Super Street Fighter 4 (if AE is released in time, AE will be used instead)
- Marvel vs. Capcom 3
- Tekken 6
- BlazBlue Continuum Shift
- Mortal Kombat 9
Melty Blood is noticeably absent from this year's lineup and Arcana Heart 3 didn't make the cut as well. King of Fighters XIII has yet to see a console release, so it's also unfortunately absent -- hopefully that'll give some incentive to SNK Playmore to get it out the door soon enough.
This would be Mortal Kombat's first time in the main lineup of EVO games (outside of side tourneys), which should be of some excitement to some of you. What do you guys think of Mortal Kombat making it to the lineup and is there anything else you would have liked to have seen make the cut?
