Maximilian uploaded a really useful video that shows how much of a difference it makes when mashing during Hyper Combos in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. This video covers all of the Marvel characters, and you'll see that if you don't mash stuff like Storm's Hail Storm you're easily leaving about 50K worth of damage on the table. Just be careful not to screw up and activate X-Factor by accident!
