« SSFIVAE2012: TOPANGA League Half-Season Results »

With the six preliminary rounds over, the TOPANGA League will now be at its second phase.

Instead of various matches against one another, the league will now have special bracket style where it will be the fight to the current first place competitor. Each session will be based on winning two first to six sets where the player will move up the bracket to compete against the next higher up player.

RF is currently last place so if he wants to go against leader Haitani, he will have to win every session from the bottom up. Haitani though will have to relax until the final day of the league to go against the second place competitor.

Check after the jump for round 6 results and match info and the schedule for the next six days of play. Thanks to Tokido77 for the info! If you are interested in watching, follow Fubarduck's article on how to pay through Nico Nico Douga and go to this link to help get started.

4. Kazunoko - 6W - 5L
5. Fuudo - 6W - 5L
6. Daigo - 6W - 5L
7. Mago - 6W - 5L
8. Momochi - 5W - 6L
9. Bonchan - 4W - 7L
10. Kindevu - 4W - 7L
11. Tokido - 3W - 8L
12. RF - 3W - 8L

Bonchan (Sagat) 3 - 1 Kindevu (Cammy)
Bonchan keep the fight in a distance, giving Kindevu a hard time to break in. 3rd match Bonchan's mistakes getting more, he given Kindevu match on his game point round, and he managed to get back in good status after Kindevu won a match.

Fuudo (Fei Long) 3 - 0 RF (Sagat)
Fuudo's pressure has locked RF at the corner most of the time, with his great reaction keep RF in defense strategy all the time. RF only able to break in from Fuudo's mistake or some random kick and punch. Fuudo took this victory easily.

Kazunoko (Seth) 1 - 3 Kindevu (Cammy)
Seems like Kindevu face some lag there, he couldn't perform combo good in the match test at the beginning. During the match, Kazunoko did a lot of mistake, such as miss blocked and wrong Shoryuken, but Kindevu missed lot of these chances and letting Kazunoko escape. Luckily he still got the game from tons of mistake done but Kazunoko, both players did not play well in this match.

Uryo (Sakura) 3 - 1 Mago (Fei Long)
Mago tried to control the game, however Uryo never missed out dealing great damange from every little mistake from Mago, this forced Mago slow down and reduced pressure on Uryo. Mago's patience had hardly get back a match, but eventually Uryo outstanding performance achieved victory.

Fuudo (Fei Long) 3 - 2 Kindevu (Cammy)
Kindevu has much lesser mistake compare to the previous match. Both players are steady. Fuudo tried many ways to lock Kindevu at the corner, but Kindevu had quickly caught up his tactic, several times Kindevu break in by guess. Fuudo then made some strategy adjustment, he did lot of uppercut to stop Kindevu's attacks from the air. Fuudo successfully got the last 4 rounds straight, beaten Kindevu.

Uryo (Sakura) 3 - 0 RF (Sagat)
Most of the time Uryo initiated the attack, he's quite aggressive in this fight. RF just stay blocking and defense, some times has to do some risky moves to stop Uryo's mix up. Overall Uryo control the game, he took it 3 matches straight.

Fuudo (Fei Long) 2 - 3 Bonchan (Sagat)
Fuudo locked Bonchan at the corner most of the time, Bonchan had no choice but wait for the chance. At the beginning, Fuudo left many flaws from his moves allowed Bonchan to break his tactic. Fuudo then slowly improve his flaw-ly moves and managed to get back some matches. Down to last round, Bonchan become lot more aggressive, he finally managed to overcome Fuudo, but it was very tough. 2nd round in final match, Fuudo react Ex Rekkaken against Bonchan's Tigger Shot, both players left last hit during that round.

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) 3 - 2 Mago (Fei Long)
Another tough battle. Daigo was locked at the corner most of the time, but Mago was not able to get much advantage from that. Mago mix up was good, but Daigo switching between defensive and rush down style made Mago not confident to go for attack in many situations. Perhaps Daigo side face lag since he made many strange move like dash toward Mago but no action, and wake up "no-Shoryuken" FADC to die, later one Daigo just go for simple combo.

Kazunoko (Seth) 1 - 3 Fuudo (Fei Long)
Kazunoko was playing lamely hit and run game, forced Fuudo chasing him all the time. Fuudo has better reaction, consider both players did continuously such as wrong uppercut, fail to FADC etc, but Fuudo did not miss much chances to punish against Kazunoko, however, Kazunoko left out some some open chances. Overall, when Kazunoko without mirror, his almost unable to overcome Fuudo. Last round Fuudo did a great come back.

Haitani (Makoto) 3 - 0 RF (Sagat)
Haitani played very careful in this match, as he lost to projectile characters from Bonchan and Daigo. Once he break in RF's barrier, he probably wouldn't have any problem, he only need to worry RF random Tiger Uppercut. Haitani got 3 matches straight without losing a single round, but some are very close.

Daigo Umehara (Ryu) 0 - 3 Sako (Ibuki)
Both played very careful and patience. Daigo couldn't get any advantages no matter how's the situation go, once he get knock down, Sako's pressure was definitely made him no way to escape. With rarely dropping combo, Sako has done well and got his victory.
