« Would You Rather Be Pro at One Game or Average at Many Games? »

Oh god, what should I play!?Being able to manage your time between all the various fighting games that are on the market these days seems to be a problem that we all run into. As a competitive player you really have to sit down and think which games are worth practicing and which games you're better off simply spectating. While there are exceptions, it seems very few competive players can be strong in multiple games and tend to focus on just one or two.

That said, going to a session with friends and not knowing how to play any of the games there can also be a drag. Having some working knowledge of the gameplay system and a few combos under your belt for various games can make the difference between getting a few matches in or sitting on the sidelines.

How do you approach this issue? Do you focus on one game exclusively and ignore everything else or do you dabble in each game equally? Would you rather be placing top 3 in one game at tournaments or be able to compete in every game on the line up, even if you're not breaking top 8?

For those of you who do play multiple games, how do you manage your practice time? Do you have a solid regime or just play what you feel like playing at the time?
