« Capcom Pro Tour 2016 details revealed »
Capcom has revealed the dates and rules of the upcoming Capcom Pro Tour 2016. Again 32 players will qualify for Capcom Cup, and starting with Final Round 19 on March 18-20, 2016, Capcom will host 11 Premier events across the world with the winner of each moving on to the finals.
However, unlike previous years, if a Premier event winner has already qualified for Capcom Cup, the spot will not be passed on to someone else at the tournament but instead another qualifying spot will be opened up on the Global Point Leaderboards.
Speaking of those leaderboards, eight players will be chosen from the Global Point Leaderboards to join Capcom Cup. Another eight will be chosen from Regional Point Leaderboards—two from each region—, four more from Regional Finals events and the winner from Evolution 2016.
