Fight of Gods to bless Nintendo Switch with its presence

A little more than a year after entering Early Access on Steam, deity-based fighter Fight of Gods will be coming to Nintendo Switch.

The 2-D game, which contains "gods, holy spirits and mythological characters" will release on the Switch on Dec. 13, 2018, in Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong. FOG will cost players 1,500 yen (roughly $13.50) but will not feature English support. An English version is on the way and will be announced soon, according to the Fight of Gods Twitter.

Fight of Gods is currently available on Steam.

Celebrate love and war as Freyja joins Fight of Gods

The Norse goddess associated with everything from love and beauty to war and death has been added to Digital Crafter's deity-based fighter.

Freyja fights with a large fiery axe and seems to focus on melee attacks. She is FoG's first DLC character and will cost players $2.99 in addition to the cost of the full game. In addition, the game has been updated with a number of changes and balance fixes.

Secret character Lamia discovered in Fight of Gods

It seems that Santa Claus wasn't the only surprise coming to Fight of Gods players before the end of 2017, as a secret character has been found.

Lamia was uncovered by Yohosie during an inspection of the game's assets. Lamia plays much like a standard shoto-style character, with a fireball and dragon punch. She also has a dash move that can cross behind the opponent.

According to Yohosie, Lami is unlocked by inputting the Konami Code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, light, medium) when starting from the random slot on the game's character select screen.

The official Fight of Gods Twitter account applauded the discovery, saying, "That was fast! Good sleuthing, Yohosie."

Santa bringing a Yuletide beatdown to Fight of Gods

Digital Crafter's deity-based fighting game has received a new character just in time for the holidays: Santa Claus.

Ignoring for the moment that Santa isn't exactly a god, Father Christmas brings with him presents to throw at opponents and attacks with both his bag of toys and a candy cane. He can even call the reindeer and his sleigh to run over foes.

Deity-based brawler Fight of Gods enters Early Access

A new game released on Steam pits religious pantheons against one another in familiar combat.

Fight of Gods is a 2-D fighting game that contains "gods, holy spirits and mythological characters from around the globe." Players will be able to play as Moses, Anubis, Jesus Christ, Odin, Buddha and more  to see whose power reigns supreme.

Fight of Gods is currently in Early Access, and the team at Digital Crafter is looking for suggestions on which gods to add in future updates.
