LOST IN SPACE: The Final Frontier Results and Replays

The day finally came, the very last Starbase Arcade tournament happened this past Sunday.  Starbase has always been the home of Street Fighter and it was no different this time with 58 entrants.  We of course had Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 with 22 entrants, The King Of Fighters 13 with 12 entrants, and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown with a solid 8.   

Thank you to everybody that came out and supported even if you just came to spectate and eat bistecs.  I would like to thank Frankie, VDon, and Honzo Gonzo for helping run brackets, couldn't have finished it without you guys.  

We did stream the event on our Twitch channel but the quality wasn't that great so for people that want to check it out again or for the first time make sure to check out the rebroadcast this Friday!

LOST IN SPACE: The Final Frontier - Sunday August 11th

You have been there for Starbase Wednesday, competed in LOST IN SPACE and watched live events on our Twitch.tv Channel.  With Starbase Arcade closing next month we are hosting one last event to go out with a bang.

The tournament will take place at Starbase Arcade, Sunday, August 11.  We will be hosting Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.  Each game will be $5 to enter and registration will be $7.  The tournament will be ran on XBOX 360.

Sign ups will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until 2:30 for VF5:FS and KOFXIII.  VF5:FS and KOFXIII will begin 3 p.m.

Sign ups will begin at 3 p.m. for SSF4 and UMVC3.  SSF4 and UMVC3 will begin at 5 p.m.  

Starbase Arcade is located at 1545 4th Street, San Rafael, Calif.  It is right next to The Mayflower so if you like to get drinks and play it is next door.  For food you can always check out Sol Food.

Southtown Arcade "The Exiles" Tournament Tomorrow At 12 P.M.

While closed down, the folks of Southtown Arcade will be doing a special tournament event at San Francisco tomorrow!

"The Exiles" will feature Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Injustice: Gods Among Us, The King of Fighters XIII, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver. 2012, Street Fighter X Tekken and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom. All will be at San Francisco's goforaloop Studios on June 15, 2013 starting at 12:30 p.m. so come early!

Aside from CVS2, the whole tournament will be on Xbox 360 consoles so bring either your 360 or multi-console sticks!

Unfortunately we won't be able to stream the event live but we will be recording and uploading to our YouTube channel like always.  We will also be broadcasting the event at a later time on our Twitch channel.

LOST IN SPACE 003 Results and Replays - Updated With UMVC3

This Sunday was the return of LOST IN SPACE at Starbase Arcade.  We once again hosted KOFXIII, SSF4 AE 2012, and UMVC3. Laban and Walkman showed up for King of Fighters XIII to break the mold that is the Southtown Arcade regulars.  Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012 had a great turnout with some more new faces that had never been to Starbase before and a few norbay guys that haven't been in a while.  Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 was short and sweet with MC KBeast, MC Honzo Gonzo and STA Windzero dominating the six man round robin.

LOST IN SPACE 003 This Sunday Feb 10th Sponsored By Avermedia

LOST IN SPACE 003 Presented By AVERMEDIA February 10th at Starbase Arcade.  We will again be featuring Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012 and The King Of Fighters XIII.  Sign ups will begin at 1pm and continue until 2:30pm.  We will be using Xbox 360's for all three games.  

Venue fee will be $7 and entry for each game will be $5 each.  Please bring your arcade sticks as we don't have extras to lend out.

With Avermedia helping us out this time around, $100 will be added to each game.  $50 will be added for first, $30 for second and $20 for third for all games.

Ranbat 6.4 Replays and Results From Starbase Arcade

Ranbat season 6.4 continued this past weekend.  A big thanks to everybody that made it out during the cold rainy weekend to keep this season going.

Unfortunately we weren't able to host Soul Calibur V, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 or Capcom vs SNK 2.  Even though we couldn't host those games that doesn't mean we weren't able to host some awesome matches from Virtual Fighter 5, Super Street Fighter 4 AE 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and The King of Fighters XIII.

Saturday Night Snapback 6.4 Tonight at Starbase Arcade 7pst

Ranbat Season 6 continues tonight with Saturday Night Snapback at Starbase Arcade.  Tonights games will be Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.

No Mercy Friday Tomorrow at Starbase Arcade 7pst (12/14)

No Mercy Friday is headed to Starbase Arcade this week!  The action will begin at 7pst with Virtual Fighter 5: Final Showdown and continue with Soul Calibur V and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.  Tournaments will be on PS3.

Ranbat 6.4 Continues This Weekend at Starbase Arcade

We are continuing Ranbat Season 6 this weekend at Starbase Arcade.  No Mercy Friday will also be returning from its short break.  The times and days of No Mercy Friday(7pm), Saturday Night Snapback(7pm), and Real Honest Sunday(2pm) have not changed and will be at their normal times. 

As much as we would like to run CVS2 on the arcade cabinet with Southtown Arcade closing we are going to be unable to do so.  We will need players to help us out by bringing PS2 arcade sticks for CVS2 on Sunday.  If you plan on showing up please bring one if you have one or try and grab one from a friend. 

No Mercy Friday will have Virtual Fighter 5, Sould Calibur V, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. 

Starbase Arcade is located at 1545 4th Street San Rafael, CA.  Entry fee for each game will be $5 while the venue will be $5 as well.  These events will be hosted on Playstation 3's just like Southtown but will be using Asus "Evo" Monitors instead of cabs.  Ranbat points are still in effect so if you wanna get those points make sure to head out!

Starbase Arcade Tonight at 10pst

Check out Starbase Arcade Wednesday once again tonight on our Twitch.tv Channel starting at 10pst.  The King of Fighters XIII will take center stage again tonight but for you Street Fighter 4 guys out there make sure to subscribe to our Youtube Channel if you haven't to check out the LOST IN SPACE 002 Replays currently being uploaded for SSF4.

LOST IN SPACE 002 This Sunday at Starbase Arcade

Starbase Arcade and Iplaywinner will be hosting LOST IN SPACE 002 this Sunday at Starbase Arcade in San Rafael, CA.  The games that are going in the tournament will be Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and The King Of Fighters 13. 

Sign ups for all tournaments will begin at 1pm and the tournaments themselves will begin at 3pm.  Casuals will happen all the way up until the tournaments start so if you want to get in some practice games you will have plenty of time.  KOF13 and SSF4 will begin first being played at the same time while UMVC3 will finish out the day.  The tournament will be held on XBOX 360.

Starbase Wednesday Tonight at 10pst - Lost in Space 002 Oct 7th

Tonight at Starbase we will be hosting KOF13 once again.  Starbase locals Doug, Hoodaman, VDon and myself are now grinding out the game.  Some Ramnation fellas along with some STA guys are rolling out to practice.  KOF13 sessions are hard to come by so if you can stop by to get some games in.  

Quick reminder - LOST IN SPACE 002 is next Sunday so make sure to mark your calendar.  It will host KOF13, SSF4, and UMVC3.  KOF13 and SSF4 will start at 3 while UMVC3 will begin after they are done.  I'll post a more complete list of info once it gets closer, if it wasn't obvious it will be held at Starbase Arcade.

Lost In Space Results Replays Announcements and STA Ranbat Rankings Updated

This last Sunday was the first ever Lost In Space at Starbase Arcade.  For the first time ever and it won't be the last, Starbase had KOF13 on the roster!  There was plenty of hype and excitement in all three games filled with blow ups and crazy matches all over the board.  The one special incentive we added to these this tournament and future Lost In Space events is the giving away of STA Ranbat points for players, giving players a chance to close the gap if you missed out on that first place last week.  If you look down the right side of the IPLAYWINNER website on the home page you will see the updated STA Ranbat Rankings for Season 5.  

If you missed Sunday don't worry one month from now will be Lost In Space 002 on Sunday September 16th, things will be a little different for that tournament so make sure to read the info when I post it up next month!

STARBASE LOST IN SPACE SUNDAY -AUGUST 12TH- AWARDING SOUTHTOWN ARCADE RANBAT POINTS

Ever wanted to come to Starbase for a tournament or casuals but couldn't come because you were busy on Wednesdays, well for the first time in a long time Starbase and IPLAYWINNER will be hosting a Sunday tournament.  The games that are going in the tournament will be Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition 2012, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and for the first time ever, King Of Fighters 13!

Sign ups for all tournaments will begin at 1pm and the tournaments themselves will begin at 2:30pm.  Casuals will happen all the way up until the tournaments start so if you want to get in some practice games you will have plenty of time.  KOF13 will begin first while UMVC3 and SSF4 will follow.

Starbase Arcade Wednesday Returns Tonight! - Live Stream at 10PM PDT

Starbase Arcade is back this week after taking a post EVO break.  Plenty of hungry players are going to be there still trying to up their game after EVO, so pick up your arcade stick and head down to the arcade.  Casuals usally start around 8pm and continue into the night while either a Tournament or FTx's start at 10PM on the Twitch.tv Channel.  Starbase Arcade is mostly a SSF4/UMVC3 crowd but we do have every EVO game ready to plug into a system.

Starbase Arcade Tournament Wednesday Featuring SSF4 AE Ver. 2012 and Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 - 10PM PST

Its been 7 Days since the last Starbase Arcade event to that means in Wednesday again!  This week will be another tournament week with both SSF4 and UMVC3.  Expect another big turnout for Street fighter this week, if you play Marvel don't be shy to head out and level up as last week we had Killers like Kbeast and Hagure hiding in the shadows.  The stream will start around 9:30 while the tournament will start around 10:30.  Plenty of stations to go around so even while the tournament is going on you can still get in casuals.
