OK, nothing here is confirmed. Capcom has not announced the official price for this game, only saying again and again that it will not be the full price of a regular new game ($60).  It has been speculated long, long ago that $39.99 is a likely price-point, but as we move into 2010 and closer to the game's actual release it's looking more and more likely.

These major retailers are taking pre-orders at around $39.99:

Gamestop , Wal-Mart , Amazon

It seems like a great price to me if true. 8-10 new characters, new ultras for every character, 4 new stages, tons of new online modes, the list goes on and on.  We will see as time goes on.
