Coming out of the Extra Life Pre-NorCal Regionals tournament session, Capitol Fight District will be hosting a launch event for Mortal Kombat X.

Working with game store Gamerz Phunk Lab, CFD will have a free tournament for MKX on April 13 before the eventual release at midnight. The event will start at 8:00 p.m. PST so players can try out the game, and the tournament will begin at 9:00 p.m. due to rules set by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The tournament will be two out of three matches followed by three out of five in grand finals. Single or double elimination format will be chosen based on attendance.

First place in the tournament gets a free copy of MKX while second place can get a $50 card for Xbox Live or PlayStation Network and third place receives $25 off at GPL. Raffles prizes include a PlayStation 4 and an Xbox One, all with a copy of MKX included!
