« New Tekken 7: Fated Retribution trailer reveals more gameplay features »
A new trailer for the expansion to Tekken 7 has unveiled more gameplay features that are being added to Bandai Namco's fighter.
The big changes center around rage in T7:FR, which activates much earlier than it did in the previous version of the game. Because of this, Rage Arts now scale in damage according to the health of the player activating them. Also, characters can spend their rage to use Rage Attacks, which function similarly to EX moves in that they create a stronger version of an existing attack. For example, according to Flying Wonky "a Rage Attack Hellsweep from Devil Jin turned the 2nd hit of [hellsweep] into his ff+3+4 as a juggle."
Other parts of the trailer focused on Akuma's gameplay, showing that he can use his EX meter for EX moves and can even focus attack dash cancel moves like his shoryuken. It also showed that characters will be able to sidestep fireballs and that some moves will avoid fireballs completely.
Lastly, T7:FR will allow players to send individual fight requests to other players playing online on the Tekken 7 network.
