Killer Instinct's Mira to be shown on stream, at PAX East on April 22

Another of Season 3's new additions to Killer Instinct will be shown to the public for the first time on April 22 as Iron Galaxy debuts Mira on stream during PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mira was first revealed as a teaser during the end of Tusk's trailer back in March, but the stream during PAX will be the first time players get to see the character in action.

The first Mira action will begin at 10:45 a.m. EDT (7:45 a.m. PDT) on Twitch's own stream channel, with coverage continuing at 11 a.m. on Iron Galaxy's channel. For those who miss this first stream, a second event with exhibition matches will happen on Saturday, April 23, from 5-6 p.m. EDT on the IG channel.

Those attending PAX East can also check out Mira for themselves at the Iron Galaxy booth, where she will be playable all weekend.

Omen, Herald of Gargos, Coming to Killer Instinct

In the most recent textual stream for Microsoft and Iron Galaxy's Killer Instinct, the new character Omen was announced as a bonus character for owners of Season 2 of KI. As a bonus character, Omen is not initially being offered separately and will instead be a gift to owners of the second season.

Omen is based on the boss version of Shadow Jago, but has been redesigned to be its own separate entity. The post showed only a partial picture of Omen, showing a clawed wing and hand emitting energy. The character is also said to be "one of the best zoning characters in KI… situationally." Omen will be previewed in a gameplay stream and then a full trailer in the upcoming weeks.

Fulgore Playable In Killer Instinct On April 9, Gameplay Trailer Reveals Arcade Mode & Online Lobbies

The final character in season one of Killer Instinct is coming soon!

Fulgore, the second additional character in KI season one, will be coming April 9, 2014. The trailer after the jump features the robotic fighter with many of his specials returning for the new iteration.

Also revealed in the trailer is the anticipated arcade mode as well as online player lobbies for group play.

Owners of Killer Instinct Combo Breaker Pack and the Ultra Edition will be able to own Fulgore right from the start.

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition Update Now Available On PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 Version Coming Soon

The next major update to Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition arrives.

The 3SOE patch is now available for download on PlayStation 3. Players can go update the game upon startup. Xbox 360 owners, meanwhile, will have to wait until next week for the update to go into effect. In addition, a patch for Marvel vs. Capcom Origins is now available to download on PS3 while Xbox 360 users will again have to wait. The details for MVCO's update are not mentioned but it might fix various sound bugs in Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom.

Alex Jebailey Joins Iron Galaxy as Community Manager

This morning it was announced that Alex Jebailey, longtime fighting game player and organizer of the Community Effort Orlando group of events, has joined developer Iron Galaxy Studios as their community manager. Iron Galaxy is best known as the creator of Divekick and a number of Capcom high-definition remakes including Darkstalkers Resurrection, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online and Marvel Origins.

Shoryuken reached out to Jebailey, who had this to say about the news:

It is with great pleasure that I was recently offered a position I have always loved to do within the gaming industry. Since I’m always well connected with the Fighting Game Community and gamers in general through CEO, when an opportunity came from Iron Galaxy, a company I’ve been lucky to have interacted with on multiple occasions in 2013 through Divekick, it was something I jumped at the chance to do. The Gaming Industry has been something I’ve wanted to be a part of for over 20 years now so my passion for gaming will show through to hopefully entertain and both benefit Iron Galaxy and the great communities that enjoy their works.
