« MARCH '09 ARCADIA MAGAZINE RANKINGS »

Tekken 6 has reigned supreme in Japan for months on end, but this month is a bit of surprise: Arc System Works' BlazBlue has taken the #1 spot. This should answer peoples questions on whether or not BlazBlue would ever be considered a "competitive game".
Tekken fans shouldn't be too upset though, both the vanilla version and Bloodline Rebellion are still in the top ten. The two rankings on my personal favorites, VF5: R and SFIV haven't changed much from previous months.
Thanks to MarkMan from SDTEKKEN for the updates. You can purchase a copy of the March issue from Play-Asia.com.

Relieved to see VF5:R back up there again. Last recording was depressing.
where was it last month? I forget.. I thought VF5 and SFIV were right next to eachother.. maybe that was December..
Not sure, just remember seeing it at 12th place recently. Wait, I just realized this list is for fighters only lol. That's probably why. It was at 12th or something near there compared to all arcade games.
i've played quite a bit of king of melty blood by now (sunnyvale golfland has it on a viewlix l cab) and i have to say, it is fun as hell. it's got a little bit of everything for everyone while still keeping a distinctly arc kind of feel. i didn't like it too much at first, but one i got past the perceived melty blood mechanics, i was able to thoroughly enjoy it (even though a lot of things in the game require two button inputs, you can't mash them; the game will actually punish you if you do in some cases).
the only reason i'm holding out on getting too serious about it is because i have a lurking feeling that the tier gaps in this game are going to end up being third strike massive (though i guess that's nothing a revision can't fix).
