Kinnikuman Muscle Grand Prix 2 Tournament At Takadanobaba Mikado Game Center

One of Tokyo, Japan's most popular independent game centers held a tournament for an interesting fighting game.

Takadanobaba Mikado featured a special tournament on Jan. 26, 2014, for Kinnikuman Muscle Grand Prix 2, a wrestling-themed fighter based on the manga series Kinnikuman developed by Syn Sophia (formerly AKI Corporation). This 3D fighter has players fight in a four sided ring and can charge their meter bar for stylized special moves and super moves.

For those familiar with the Kinnikuman franchise or at least watched the Ultimate Muscle anime series might notice characters in Grand Prix 2. Syn Sophia's past projects include WWF Wrestlemania 2000, WWF No Mercy, Def Jam Vendetta and Def Jam: Fight For NY.

Casual Footage Of Buriki One, Spin-Off Of Art Of Fighting Series

ImbuedGold has done it again! Another vintage SNK game played by Japan! Instead of the usual The King of Fighters or Fatal Fury entries, it's a unique 3D fighter.

IMBUEDGOLD ON YOUTUBE

Titled Buriki One, it's a spin-off of the Art of Fighting series (features Ryo Sakazaki as a playable character) and expands the fighting game plane to three dimensions. Released for only the Hyper Neo-Geo 64 (PlayStation version cancelled), Buriki One aimed for a more realistic approach to fighting at the time. Imagine early Ultimate Fighting Championship where a kickboxer would fight a sumo wrestler for example. It's sort of the idea in Buriki One.

ImbuedGold uploaded about 12 casual video sessions of the game. The first four videos are available after the jump but make sure to check his channel for the rest! COME BACK INTO THE RING!
