KOFXIII & SSF4: AE Hype Collides at Southtown Arcade's Fall Brawl 2.3 - Results and Replays

While we've certainly had some great SSF4: AE tournaments in the past, they're typically overshadowed by the KOFXIII hype that blows the roof of of Southtown Arcade almost every Sunday. But not this week! Both tournaments were insanely hype with a ton of great matches due to stacked brackets for both games.

KOFXIII, SSF4: AE & MVC3 Today (10-16) at Southtown Arcade Fall Brawl Ranbat 2.3

The best Sunday in streaming is back this weekend as we'll be going live from Southtown Arcade with more King of Fighters XIII action! I know a lot of the players here have been practicing hard, so this weekend is sure to be full of upsets!

MvC2 Vet Crizzle Lights it Up With C. Viper In SSF4: AE at Starbase Arcade Ranking Battles 1.2 - Results & Replays

While MvC3 is usually the game that brings all the hype at Starbase on Wednesdays, last night SSF4: AE was the game that got people out of their seats! With Harrison's Cody running through the brackets taking out coL. CC. F. Champs Dhalsim, it came down to the wire in one hell of a set versus Crizzle's C. Viper.

Southtown Arcade Fall Brawl Ranbat Series Continues This Sunday (10-2) with KOFXIII, SSF4: AE & MVC3

We're back this weekend with another live stream straight from Southtown Arcade, covering their Fall Brawl 2.2 ranbat. This is quickly becoming one of the most watched weekly streams as King of Fighters XIII has been picking up a lot of steam, with players from all over the world tuning in to catch the hype moments and drama. If you haven't tuned in yet, you're really missing out on some great matches week by week.

Ultimate NorCal vs Capcom is this coming Tuesday (10-4) and while this is an invite only event where are goal is to have top players from all over the Bay Area show you what high level UMVC3 play looks like, we still want to get some participation from the community at large. Capcom's own Seth Killian will be in the house, ready to answer your questions directly, so post up anything you've been dying to ask him about Capcom fighting games in the comments and we'll see if we can get you an answer!

This will be the 2nd annual EXPxCEO tournament for fighting games featuring Super Street Fighter 4: AE, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, 3rd Strike Online Edition, and Mortal Kombat. This event will be streamed on the CEOGaming Channel provided by IPW-Deuce - Saturday Oct 22nd. CvS2 Takes the Spotlight at Southtown Arcade's Fall Brawl 2.1 - Results and Replays - CVS2/3s/ST

With all the huffing and puffing about being the best at Third Strike or Super Turbo you hear week in and week out, one would think those two games would be the focus of a tournament where most of the entrants are more worried about paying their mortgage rather than their XBL subscription.  When it was all said and done, CvS2 was the main attraction for Southtown Arcade's Fall Brawl 2.1 (OG Edition), with almost double the entrants of Third Strike and ST, proving that the game still has a strong following in NorCal.

We apologize we weren't able to get direct feed for CvS2 this time around, though we are fairly confident this will be sorted out by the next ranbat. That said, there is a certain charm about recording these old games on a camcorder, capturing the scanlines and all. We're shifting gears a bit this weekend as we'll be streaming 3s (Arcade), Super Turbo and Capcom vs SNK 2 live from Southtown Arcade! This Sunday (9/25) will be the first of many ranbats that highlight the classic fighting games that made our scene what it is today. CVS2 veterans from NorCal plan to be in attendance this weekend as well, but you'll have to tune in at around 1PM PST to find out who they are!
