SSF2T Match Analysis from SF25 - Damdai vs John Choi/Afrolegends

Little bit late for this one - but I have finally released my match analysis video from the Super Turbo finals at the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Tournament! The top 3 for me was particularly quite interesting - mainly because we got to see a clash of generations - with Choi being the super-old school player, Afrolegends being the middle-school player, and Damdai being the newest school SF2 player out of all of them.

For this video, I have added some backbeats from Jibbo aka Automattock for this video - since it clock in at 55 minutes long. Shoutouts to him and Seb Rhee of FADC fame - his THawk analysis vid was a huge help - make sure to subscribe to my Youtube at Youtube.com/FGCSabin if you like it!

SFXT Match Analysis from SF25 - MCZ Tokido vs WW|MCZ Infiltration

Interested in more match analysis videos? Well look no further - I've complated another set in my match analysis series. This time, it's the Street Fighter x Tekken Winners Finals/Grand Finals from Street Fighter 25th Anniversary! This set was MCZ Tokido (Dhalsim/Cody) vs WW|MCZ Infiltration - (JackX/Rolento - JackX/Ryu)

The video is comprised of me going into training mode and breaking down some of the most commonly used moves from the characters that were played. I also cover gem loadouts before the match. There is also a breakdown as to why I feel Dhalsim is so good in SFXT (as opposed to SF4!) From there I go into the match in my usual match analysis style, using whiteboard/slowmo functionality, etc.

As always, thanks to Haunts of Capcom for letting me use the footage. Hope everyone enjoys the video in lieu of SFXT v. 2013 coming out in a month from now! As always, make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel (FGCSabin) if you enjoy the content I put out!

SSF4AE Match Analysis: Daigo vs Infiltration Finals @ Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Tournament

Ever wanted a deeper look at one of the biggest high stakes Street Fighter matches of all time? Well, I'm back again with another Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition analysis video! This time, I take a look at Madcatz|Daigo Umehara's match vs WW|MCZ|Infiltration! This covers not only the winners finals, but the grand finals as well.

As usual, shotos are not my forte, but I manage to spice up the analysis with frame data via Shoryuken.com, and I used hitbox scans from Eventhubs as well! I also use frame-by-frame and whiteboard analysis. It takes me about 90 minutes to analyze 30 minutes of match play, so the video is long. However, I hope people find it informative! Thank you to Capcom for allowing me to use the footage for my own match analysis. Make sure to subscribe if you like what you see!

SSF4AE: Gods Arc Tourney featuring Alioune Sensei

It has been a long time coming, but the European/French player of legend, Alioune Sensei finally made his way to the US - thanks to the SF 25th Anniversary Tournament! With the event coming to a conclusion, Alioune made his way to New York City to participate in the "Gods Arc" house tourney hosted by Empire Arcadia's very own Triforce GameMaster. With nothing on the line but pride at this point, this was a great way for some of New York's top rated players to test their mettle against one of the best Cammy players in the world!

The usual suspects were at the event, as well as some strong up and comers like "Loud" Zeus and PIE (Professional Instigators Entertainment)'s very own Chin! Below you will find a link to the Challonge bracket if you want to spoil the results. I will also link the Winners/Losers/Grand Finals of the bracket as well as the playlist of the tournament. Thank you to Empire Arcadia for hosting, the players for participating, and especially Alioune for coming to visit NYC! The tourney would have not been the same without you there!

Make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel at FGCSabin if you haven't already! In the next few days I will upload some "concept matches" Alioune had vs a lot of the top NYC players - so be on the lookout for that.

SSF4AE Match Analysis: AGE NYChrisG's Sakura @ Big Two #51

Interested in some SSF4AE match analysis? Well, I've started to resume my match breakdown videos again. This time, I take a close look at After Glow Elite's very own NYChrisG! At Big Two #51, ChrisG broke out his battle hardened Sakura and took out both EMP Santhrax and Dieminion! This was a first, as ChrisG is not known for being a dominant force in SSF4. He actually won both tournaments that day, which was a first for Big Two. I spend a hour and a half documenting the matches, trying to figure out what ChrisG's Sakura was doing. In the process I use frame data and hitbox data to support my analysis. I learned a lot, and I hope you can learn quite a bit as well. Make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel, and leave a comment if you enjoyed what you saw!

Watched most of MLG Dallas but hungry for more Tekken Tag Tournament 2 action? Then wait no more - I've uploaded a lot of high level footage from Eddy Pistons house (AKA the House of Goons!)

In this series, I've uploaded a lot of footage of Anakin, JDCR, Saint, HelpMe, Rip, Aris, Pokchop, The Exalted, and more! Quite a few of these players are top level Tekken competitors - JDCR, Saint, Anakin and HelpMe for example, closed out a lot of the top 4 at MLG Dallas. I've embedded one video from my playlist in this article -

Evil Geniuses Justin Wong/TS Sabin/Spirant in MVC Origins

I'm back again wtih some MVC1 high level play from the Marvel vs Capcom: Origins re-release port by Iron Galaxy. This time, I take on Evil Genuises very own Justin Wong as well as SpirantGuitar, a solid online player that joined us in the lobby as well! I have 2 separate videos for you guys here, so enjoy the matches! My ping to Justin is around 80-90ms since he's based in California - however, due to both of us having fiber optic internet + Iron Galaxy's implementation of GGPO netcode, the connection between both of us feels lag free (with GGPO delay set to zero.) Props to Iron Galaxy and Ponder for the best implementation of GGPO on a console yet! Enjoy the videos and don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel at FGCSabin.

Marvel vs Capcom: Origins Netcode Test Video

Marvel vs Capcom Origins was just released yesterday on Playstation Network and XBOX Live! With ports of very old games, two questions tend to be on everyone's mind for legacy players of these games. First off, how is the emulation? Arcade perfect? Secondly, how is the netcode?

After some extensive play on my stream last night, I can confirm for Marvel vs Capcom Origins that the port is one of Iron Galaxy's more solid releases.  GGPO for the most part works extremely well, compared to Iron Galaxy's last Third Strike Online Edition release. To confirm this, I have uploaded a hour and a half of footage from the beginning of my stream. I jump into some ranked matches, and even run into TS NerdJosh in player match! Check out the footage at the link below! Just note that this is for MVC1, not Marvel Super Heroes.

DOA5: Day 1 Netplay Sets with PerfectLegend and NinjaCW

DOA5 finally dropped yesterday - as such, I picked up the XBOX version to put it to the test. Did a 19 hour day 1 stream of the game, and I was searching for some solid DOA5 vets to play on stream to show people what the game was about. Thankfully Perfect Legend and NinjaCW obliged and invited me to their Endless Battle lobby. There's a variety of chars being played in this 2+ hour set from these long time DOA vetarans. It also offers a good look at DOA5 netcode as well - with PL based out of Ohio and NinjaCW based out of Deleware. Enjoy and don't forget to subscribe to my channel.

TTT2: FightingGM vs The Game sets + EC/WC PSN Netplay w FilthieRich!

As of today, TTT2 has launched worldwide! As such, I invited a few solid Tekken players over for some running sets and a EC to WC netcode test run.

The first 2 sets are with FightingGM and The Game. FightingGM is a world reknown Lee player - while The Game is known for his Mishimas and Law throught the Tekken series.

After that, we have a netplay demonstration with FilthieRich of Namco Bandai Games! To our surprise, the netcode holds up very well on PSN even on a east coast to west coast connection. Check out the sets and the netplay demo below! The players involved in this demo are MLG Carlos, FightingGM, The Game, lordsavior and Devil Himself! Super Turbo: King of GGPO returns tonight with Summer Edition!

After a bit of a hiatus post-Evo, The King of GGPO is back with the summer edition of online tournaments! This has been a year long project started by myself and Bob "sf2kuroppi" Painter to keep ST's momentum alive in 2012 during the quiet months!

This is the Summer edition of qualifiers -- the winners of the King of Summer will play each other in a race to 10. Seasonal winners will play each other off at the end of the year. Right now, the other seasonal champions are none other than Afrolegends, who is repping Socal, and yito2k, a strong Dhalsim player from Mexico!

Sign-ups are still ongoing if you want to play, and the tourney tonight starts at 10pm PST/1am Eastern. Info about signing up and stream posted below! Thanks as always to Kuroppi and Super Turbo Revival!

SSF4AE 2012 - Post CEO Match Analysis

Right before Evo, I decided to do another SSF4AE analysis video! Instead of myself analyzing other players matches, I decided to analyze my own stream matches vs Filipino Champ and Mike Ross. I try to offer some insight into what I'm looking for in specific matchups with my own characters - as well as what goes through my head when I get blown up. I pretty much detail why I won/lost, and the decsion process that goes into making the choices that I did in the Rose/Sim - Sim/Honda matchups! No popoffs here, these breakdowns try to be objective and unbiased as possible. Of course, the production values are a little rough, but I hope everyone that watches it learns something - this is just a recording from me doing it on stream. Don't forget to subscribe to FGCSabin on Youtube - gonna try to get some good Evo footage this weekend!

In SSF4AE, we have Wolfkrone, WeirdoNeo, OnlineTony, FNEX KBrad, CCG Air, UYG Knuckledud, German Luger and more! Of course lots of players are hungry to get at Wolfkrone - he's in quite a few FT5/FT10 sets for big money.

UMVC3 Matches with BT|IFCYipes + MK9 With Curbolicious

I'm back on the grind uploading to youtube, and I've got some nice sets for you UMVC3 and MK9 monsters! On the UMVC3 side, I have a fairly long (2-3 hr set) between BrokenTier IFCYipeS and Team Spooky NerdJosh. Lots of interesting technology in this set on Yipes's part especially in these long sets..but this is to be expected from Brokentier!

The second set of matches features Curbolicous playing me + others in MK9 KOTH online matches. If you don't remember who Curbo is, you may remember this match from MLG where he beat PerfectLegend 3-0 with a babality! Definitely a up and coming star in the MK9 world. Also, some of these matches have CDjr in it as well as Forever Swagg - all solid players.
