Skullgirls to get limited physical release

Lab Zero Games is teaming up with Limited Run Games to offer a physical release of Skullgirls for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

Preorders for the title will begin on Oct. 31, 2016. The release will be mostly identical to the recent Japanese physical release but will also include the upcoming patch that adds lobbies to the Skullgirls console version.

In a later tweet it was further revealed that if the game gets 10,000 preorders, then Lab Zero will patch the Japanese voice acting into the U.S. and European PS4, Steam and Vita releases.

ARCANA HEART 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! NEW SCREENSHOTS

Players can try out some of the modes featured in AH3:LM!!!!! including Survival Score Attack, Time Attack and a combo-based Trial Mode. In addition, extra story content called "Memories", from the mobile app Arcana Heart: Card of Glory, can be unlocked through normally playing the game. This new scenario mode explores more of the character's daily lives.

Screenshots can be found above! Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! will be available in Japan for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms on May 29. The North American release will be available fall 2014!

Aksys Games To Release Arcana Heart 3: LOVE MAX!!!!! For North America In Fall 2014

The latest Arcana Heart 3 update will be available for interested players in North America later this year.

The major update to EXAMU's Arcana Heart 3, subtitled LOVE MAX!!!!!, will be available in NA on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms in fall 2014. The localized version of LOVE MAX!!!!! was originally leaked on Amazon with a release date of Sept. 30, 2014.

Whether or not the September release date is legitimate, North American publisher Aksys Games have only mentioned that it will be available in the fall season. The Japanese release, published by Arc System Works, still stands with the May 29, 2014, date.

BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Coming To PlayStation Vita In Japan

The latest BlazBlue entry will be receiving a portable port along with a console release.

BlazBlue: Chronophantasma has been announced to appear on the PlayStation Vita for the Japanese gaming market. Owners of the downloadable content for the PlayStation 3 version of Chronophantasma can also share it on the Vita. It has been reported to also feature updates based on the arcade version.

While the Vita port will arrive on April 24, 2014, in Japan, there are currently no plans for a North American version.

The North American localization of Chronophantasama for the PlayStation 3 will be available on March 25, 2014!

GGXX: Accent Core Plus R For Japanese PlayStation Vita On March 19

The latest update to Guilty Gear XX will soon be available outside of arcades but through Sony's latest handheld on March 19.

Accent Core Plus R is the current build which features various modifications done to all the characters including Sol Badguy, Testament, and Chipp Zanuff. Modes featured in the home releases including story mode and M.O.M. mode will be featured in the Vita release.

Info regarding the console update to Plus R is not available at the moment since its "Spring 2013" release announcement. Stay tuned when news come up but check out the trailer of the Vita version after the jump!

NetherRealm Sees A Home For Fighting Games In PlayStation Vita

GamaSutra interviewed Hector Sanchez of NetherRealm Studios who was favorable of fighting games having a new home in the PlayStation Vita.

Sanchez elaborates that thanks to the pick-up-and-play style of fighting games, it can help compliment the always connected technology of the Vita.

"I know there are some of the hardcore fans that stay loyal to their one brand, but we play all fighting games," Sanchez tells us from the NetherRealm offices in Chicago, where the team is putting the finishing touches on Mortal Kombat for Sony's portable PlayStation Vita.

Playstation Vita vs PSP Comparison Video of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max

One of the many great features of the new Playstation Vita is that it can play over 250 games from the PSP's library.  So how does the new PS Vita, with it's powerful hardware and amazing 5-inch OLED screen, handle the emulation of some of the exceptional 2D fighters that are available?  This video by Prelucid gives us a great look by directly comparing Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on both systems and pointing out the differences.  It's certainly interesting stuff. First Footage of Mortal Kombat Vita

NetherRealm Studios recently visited Gamespot to show Mortal Kombat Vita in action for the first time.
The Vita version includes all the content of the original game plus new art and new costumes that were not created by the time the original game was released. NetherRealm offers even more with new challenges that use the unique features of the Vita.
