This video should help those who are still unfamiliar with the basic mechanics of the game and/or want to pick up a few useful tips.

PlayStation All-Stars: Kratos and Radec Strategy Videos

On the Playstation Blog there's a couple of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale character videos for Kratos and Radec. These videos cover who the characters are and how their original moves were implemented into this game, and the applications for their supers.

"We wanted to pay proper homage to Kratos, so the approach we took was to have his playstyle reflect some of the most iconic weapons in God of War, such as the Blades of Chaos and Apollo’s Bow. And we wanted his Supers to revolve around his ultimate weapon, the Blade of Olympus, and even have him grow in size to pay homage to his initial transformation into the God of War."

You can read the breakdown for both characters at the Playstation Blog. Both videos can be watched after the break.

Virtua Fighter 5 FS Character Tutorial Videos

Sega has created new tutorial videos for Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, this time focusing on specific tips and tricks for specific characters. These videos cover Jean Kujo, Taka Arashi, Jacky, Sarah Bryant, Lau and Pai Chan. Here's an example of a preview of Jean's video:

“Another great Jean move is his rolling kick performed with back forward kick plus guard. It is long range, safe on guard and causes stagger on normal hit. If your opponent is unable to shake of this heavy stagger, you can get foward punch, punch kick as a free combo. Eventually players will learn to shake out of this and guard your combo. Use this opportunity to throw your opponent or any other strategies you have learned in the previous section.”

You can watch the videos after the break, but pass by the Sega blog to express your gratitude. It's always appreciated when companies make tutorials for their games.

Team Ninja: We have no plans to sell characters as DLC

Speaking with videogamer.com, Yosuke Hayashi spoke on what is possibly one of the most disliked practices in the fighting games industry, selling characters as downloadable content:

"We don't feel that it's right for fighting games."

"We feel like this is a kind of sport, and you don't change the rules for sports. Everybody plays by the same rules. You don't have a 14-player soccer game versus an 11-player soccer game. That's just not fair."

Team Ninja stated they have no plans to sell DLC characters. Certainly, his words will be appreciated within the fighting games community, and may influence other publishers to stop this practice.

You can read the rest of Hayashi's opinion on this thorny subject at videogamer.com.
