Lee Chaolan juggles with style in new video by JodyThaGreat

St. Louis' JodyThaGreat has created a new video showcasing the various combos of Lee Chaolan in Tekken 7.

In the over five minutes of footage, JTG shows off Lee's many launcher oppotunities and how players can make the most of them. He shows combos in stages with and without walls, using Rage Arts or Drive and other variations.

The video is fairly barebones, and features no annotations or explanations, but for players familiar to the Tekken series it can a useful tool in further exploring Lee.

Punishing Ling Xiaoyu's "firecracker" move in Tekken 7

A video by YouTube user David Pinhal shows every way that characters can punish one of Ling's more frustrating lows out of Art of Phoenix stance in Tekken 7.

Firecracker is the name given to Ling's move performed by sliding from right kick to left kick (notated as 4~3) while in Art of Phoenix stance. This move gives players a lot of problems because while they can often block it, Ling stays low to the ground causing many normal punishes to whiff. Players are often left getting nothing more than a simple crouching kick in return.

The three-minute video shows better punishes for every character and even labels each in terms of execution difficulty. It's another resource for players having a hard time against one of Tekken 7's strongest characters.

Readers can check out the video after the jump.

Assessing combo risk and reward by Avoiding The Puddle

Recently during his stream, Avoiding The Puddle's Aris took time to explain his thoughts on combo choice in Tekken.

In a short video clipped from the stream, Aris talks about how damage and ease of execution are both factors a player should consider when choosing their combos. He also discusses what is considered "optimal" in Tekken and how players should consider the consequences of a dropped combo when choosing a juggle.

Readers can check out the video after the jump, and for more bits of Tekken information should check out the Avoiding The Puddle YouTube.

'Execution Woes' unravels the patience needed to learn a new game

Guilty Gear player and commentator Sami "Samifish" Nash's ongoing journal dedicated to improving his own execution in fighting games has now taken a different turn as he explores a new title in Tekken 7.

Admittedly never having a lot of interest in the game before 2014, Nash has jumped into Tekken 7 and found that he was not exactly prepared for the different style and input handling the game has placed before him.

In this Execution Woes, Nash breaks down a combo for Leo, trying to better pace his inputs so that what he sees in a video can be what comes out on his own screen.

Nash's take is an interesting read for players who have problems starting a new game or just those wondering how other competitors look at system mechanics. Readers can check out the article at Medium.

New York's Bloodhawk has created a video designed to help people who are having problems against Lucky Chloe in Tekken 7.

Tekken 7 for Steam updated with bug, online fixes

The first update for the PC version of Tekken 7 has rolled out with fixes for both online and offline play.

Most of the updates fix actual problems with using the game, such as keyboards becoming unresponsive and Kazuya's model partially disappearing at times when customized. Other fixes, however, are designed to prevent players from getting matched with "hackers" or to allow competitors find themselves on the leaderboards.

Also added are changes to Nina's Ivory Cutter, Eddy's Rage Art and one of Miguel's Power Crush moves. No details are provided but the Nina change is likely the one that came to consoles earlier this month.

The small list of fixes can be found after the jump.

Tekken 7 sidestep guide tells you to walk on the weak side

A new guide provides a quick "cheat sheet" players can study when wondering how to move against opposing characters in Tekken 7.

The guide not only gives an indicator of which side is a character's weak side, meaning their moves do not track well to that side, but also gives added notes or indicators that can further explain movement in the matchup. Players are told, for example, that it is better to simply duck or block against Shaheen than try to sidestep his attacks.

The guide was created by Reddit user krieger999 from a guide Nobi made, and turned into a PDF by TekkenGamer. It should prove useful for any player who needs a quick movement answer without having to grind training mode. The guide is available at TekkenGamer.
