In the name of the moon! Frame data released for Sailor Moon fighter

Frame data for the Super Famicom's cult anime fighter, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Soudatsusen, has been compiled in a new document.

The data, retrieved thanks to Kamekaze (who also released the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters frame data), gives attributes for all normal and special moves of the game's nine characters as well as any special characteristics of individual attacks. It also notes that for some moves, slowdown may make the actual numbers seem different than they are to the players.

The game has recently seen a tournament resurgence thanks to The Skillions and Team St1ckbug tournament organizers in New York City.

Readers can check out the guide on Google Documents, and for more information on the title can check out the recent feature at Kotaku.

MvCI balance patch bringing big changes on Dec. 5

A newly announced patch coming to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will change the landscape of the game going into its Battle for the Stones event on Dec. 9-10, 2017.

Big changes have been made to the general gameplay of MvCI, with the seeming removal of the hit-stun deterioration glitch, which allowed players to create very long combos and kill a character.

There are also nerfs to both the Reality surge and Space storm abilities, with the former having slower start-up, less active frames and going away when the character is hit while the later will now put players in the box for less time on activation. Off the ground (OTG) relaunch attacks have also been limited to two per combo and crumple state now offers tech roll in addition to other glitch fixes and engine tweaks.

In terms of the character roster, popular characters like Dante, Dormammu and Ultron have all received nerfs, with Dante receiving a lengthy list of nerfs in terms of move duration, hitboxes/hurtboxes or active frames. Overall, 20 of the game's characters will receive at least one change when the patch releases.

Readers can head over to Capcom Unity for the full list of changes.

Misango brings a sting to ARMS in version 4.0

ARMS version 4.0 has been released, bringing with it a new character, stage and more ARMS for use in battle.

The new character is Misango, whose home stage is the debuting Temple Grounds arena. Misango's special ability in ARMS revolves around the mysterious entity that floats above him: he can absorb it to gain special powers.

Misango can choose to simply absorb the entity or use it first as a shield then absorb it, and depending on its color when absorbed he will either gain armor (red), increased mobility (blue) or "the ability to automatically block all incoming blows for a short period of time upon activating his rush combo" (yellow).

Misango arrives with three new ARMS all that use poison. The Scorpio crawls on the ground or turns into a disc in the air before delivering a poisonous stab; the Glusher is a heavy weapon that bounces once or twice before smashing the opponent; and the Skully is one of the fastest attacks in the game, but can be knocked aside by heavier ARMS.

For more information on the ARMS 4.0 update, readers can check out the Nintendo Treehouse Log. The Misango trailer can be found after the jump.

Geese shows off predictable strength in Tekken 7 gameplay footage

Just days before attendees of the Tekken World Tour finals will have the chance to try him out, Geese Howard has been featured in five minutes of gameplay footage from Gamespot.

The video shows how many of Geese's trademark moves, including specials like repukken, shipukken and jaei ken, have translated into the third dimension. It also shows how his meter will work, as Geese can gain up to three bars during a match. That meter can either be spent to activate Max Mode, which seemingly allows him a cancel much like Akuma's for one bar, or used for supers that seem to cost two bars.

More information on the character will become available during the Tekken World Tour finals on Nov. 12. For now, readers can check out the clip after the jump.
