Sajam, Tasty Steve to bring players 'The Recipe' on Cross Counter TV

During Wednesday Night Fights on May 17, Sajam and Tasty Steve announced their new show on Cross Counter TV: The Recipe.

Using the same format as Excellent Adventures featuring Gootecks and Mike Ross, the two Steves will venture into online play in games such as Guilty Gear Xrd, Killer Instinct, Injustice 2, the upcoming Tekken 7 and more. They will also open the couch up to guest appearances. 

The first four episodes of the show—featuring Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- and Killer Instinct—are currently available on Cross Counter now, and new episodes will be added every Thursday.

Pro Wrestling's Kenny Omega Takes the Excellent Adventures Challenge

There has always been overlap between fans of fighting games and pro wrestling, from the FGC trash talk that sounds like it could come straight from a WWE pay-per-view to the ring and cage that has housed the main stage for Community Effort Orlando in the past. Wrestlers have even name-dropped major FGC events on live television.

Now, however, New Japan Pro Wrestling's Kenny Omega has decided to step from the squared circle into the online arena with Gootecks and Mike Ross for the Excellent Adventures series. In epsiodes 92-95 of the series, the self-proclaimed "Cleaner" of NJPW and master of the "One Winged Angel" finishing maneuver sits down on the couch and tests his Cody skills against netplay warriors.

Homecoming: CoL Filipino Champ Defends the Throne Event By XSplit & Cross Counter

Filipino Champ will be at the Philippines to "Defend the Throne."

XSplit and Cross Counter are hosting an event Oct. 20 in Manila, Philippines that will pit Complexity's Filipino Champ fighting against the best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 players in the nation.

The event will be streamed live on FGTV Live's Twitch channel and starts on Oct. 19 at 9 pm PST for US west coast viewers, Oct. 20 at 12 am EST for the east coast. You can check out the trailer after the jump!

Cross Counter's Gootecks & Complexity's Filipino Champ Launching Fighting Game Mastery Media Series

Cross Counter's founder and one of the best Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 players team up for a special series of videos on improving your fighting game skill.

Fighting Gamer Mastery is a special media program with Gootecks and Filipino Champ. This four hour-long video series examines strategies, mental strength and understanding the metagame in fighting games. For Street Fighter and Marvel players, there is also content about Champ's characters and how he applies his own philosophies when competing.

EVO 2013: Cross Counter Presents AE2012 & SFXT Sessions At Kelvin Jeon's Hotel Room

Kelvin at Cross Counter was at EVO and recorded some sessions from his hotel room with various strong players in Street Fighter X Tekken and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver. 2012.

For SFIV, Poongko went up against Japanese Vega player BrokkenG in a first to three bout. In SFXT, Kelvin himself went up against the very technical player from the East Coast Ryan Hunter in a first to five set. Also in SFXT features NorCal player Bad Intent playing with Sethlolol in a first to five set as well.

SFXT: Kelvin Jeon & Cross Counter Present "Pick A Team, Any Team!" Video Series

With the entry fee of $5 or even contributing a game to DonateGames, you can play casual matches in Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Ver. 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, or PlayStation All Stars: Battle Royale; on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360! Along with getting some games in, you can also expect some exhibition matches including the headliner between AGE's Knives and Infrit!

Cross Counter Asia Translating Daigo Umehara Book

Zhi of Cross Counter Asia has began translating Daigo Umehara's "The Will to Keep Winning," which chronicles the Japanese Street Fighter legend's road to glory thus far. The first audio installment is available on YouTube now, which covers the book's prologue and includes a dramatic retelling of Daigo's legendary 3rd Strike victory over Justin Wong at 2004's Evo.
