Dead or Alive 5 To Have Online Tag Battles, No More Interactive Lobbies

According to a new report from Joystiq, Dead or Alive 5 will bring back tag-team battles, which will be playable both locally and online. Joystiq also noted that Team Ninja have done away with the interactive online lobbies of Dead or Alive 4, which allowed players to freely walk around a small room with a custom avatar before finding a match. This omission was made to ensure Dead or Alive 5 has top-of-the-line netcode, so lets hope that holds true come September.

Seth Killian Says "Fireworks" May Be Coming to Street Fighter X Tekken

During yesterday's Capcom-Unity stream, Seth Killian answered a myriad of questions from fans. When questioned about Street Fighter X Tekken, Killian noted that the game may see some "fireworks." He said that things such as the timer, damage output, and tagging system could all see changes, as the Capcom staff have been monitoring the competitive life of the game.

Killian also stated that "Darkstalkers aren't dead," said not to be too hopeful for a CvS3/CvS2 port, and made it official that Magneto will not get a replacement DLC costume in UMvC3.

How do you feel about the potential "fireworks" coming to SFxT? Could Capcom salvage a game that's ailing in the community's eyes, or is it too late?

Injustice: Gods Among Us to Have Improved Netcode Over MK9, No More Block Button

The MK diehards at Test Your Might have been hard at work finding every detail possible surrounding NetherRealm's DC fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us. NetherRealm senior producer Adam Urbano tweeted that the game's netcode has been worked on from day 1 to avoid the initial roadblocks of Mortal Kombat 9's early days. He also noted that much of the graphics code from MK9 has been enhanced for the new game.

Giant Bomb's Jeff Gerstmann made an interesting discovery while playing the game, as he tweeted that the game will have a hold-back-to-block mechanic. This is a major departure from the standard Mortal Kombat control scheme, and could end up having a huge affect on gameplay.

Lastly, G4TV has a new interview with Ed Boon, where he shows off some more gameplay and notes that the character roster will likely reach the 20's.
