Airdash Academy introduces movement by first explaining various jumps you can implement in a match. Each jump including crossups has its own offensive and/or defensive advantages, which work best in specific situations. Players need to understand the position as well as understand the risks and rewards when implemented.

While it shows footage of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, these concepts can carry over to other fighting games including Guilty Gear and BlazBlue.

The major Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late tournament held on March 21, 2014 is now available for viewing.

OVER THE WORLD -REBORN- is the second significant tournament for the French Bread fighting game Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late that took place at Club Sega Shinjuku in Tokyo. This team tournament features multiple three-man teams from all over the nation to see who is the best.

Kagecchi Uri, a streamer known for covering the first OVER THE WORLD tournament in 2013 as well the STARTING OVER team tournament series for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012.

This new episode of Airdash Academy gets into one of the aspects found in this genre of fighting games, moves that chain to each other.

Using Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R for reference, Airdash Academy episode four introduces traits found in using normals chained to follow up attacks. Chaining attacks is broken down to two sections, positioning and commitment. The former mentions that while bigger ranged normals can be used as poking tools, shorter attacks will yield advantages such as chaining follow up moves. The latter explains particular chain moves that can be best used based your own confidence on to deal with a situation.

Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late Adds Akatsuki Blitzkampf's Akatsuki As Playable Character

Under Night In-Birth will be updated with an additional character from another fighting game series.

Akatsuki Blitzkampf character Akatsuki is the latest playable character in the latest version of UNI. Akatsuki will still be wearing his regular attire and will likely have a modified movelist to compliment UNI's combo system. Developer French Bread and Akatsuki Blitzkampf creators Subtle Style are known for having a history in creating doujin games.

Subtle Style posted an update to a release date in regards to a download sale of Akatsuki Blitzkampf on Sep. 10. Whether or not it refers to the update Ausf. Achse, more info will be posted in the near future.

Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late Developer French Bread Goes Over New Character Chaos

Developer of the Melty Blood and Under Night In-Birth games, French Bread did a video stream of what's to come in the next version of UNI.

Along with a location test in Japan, French Bread shows off Under Night In-Birth EXE:Late in their own stream featuring their newest character Chaos. While they are recording from a camera, there is enough clarity to see how Chaos plays. They also talk and play a bit of the original Yatagarasu in line with the current follow up, Attack on Cataclysm.

UNI: Official 3v3 Team Tournament -OVER THE WORLD- Announced For March 2013

In Japan, Under Night In-Birth publisher Ecole and its Hydra GP competitive series announced an official team tournament dedicated to the game. This tournament will last in various dates around January until March 23!

UNIB: Hilda Now Playable In Version 1.02

For those in Japan playing Under Night In-Birth, the game updated to feature boss Hilda as now a playable character!

Now the playable characters total at 11. This new addition was the major feature included in version 1.02. There are no other apparent changes reported in this latest update.

Under Night In-Birth's Final Trailer Before Debut

ECOLE and French Bread have uploaded the latest trailer to Under Night In-Birth to their YouTube channel. Developed on Sega's RingEdge2 arcade system, the game makes it debut in arcades across Japan on September 20. Watch the video after the jump for an introduction to the full cast!

Under Night In-Birth System Translations from Beast Note

Daigo fan-site and general Japanese fighting game blog, Beast Note, has posted their translation of the System page on the official Under Night In-Birth website.

There is a detailed breakdown of the EXS and GRD (Grind Grid) meters and how they work together. The EXS meter is a general use meter for supers, EX moves and other things, while the GRD meter is unique in that it is based on the momentum between players.

It is interesting to note that Beast Note mentions that there are no comeback mechanics in this game. Get the rest of the info at the link below.

French-Bread's Next Fighting Game Announced

As promised last week, Ecole and developer French-Bread revealed at their event at Club Sega in Akihabara French-Bread's brand new fighting game: "Under Night In-Birth". According to Andriasang, the game will be completely original, uses a four-button control scheme, will be in 720p and is expected to be out sometime next winter.

Additional good news for Melty Blood came out of the event as well. French-Bread stated that they weren't done with Melty Blood at all; plans are currently in place to add two more characters in the spring and summer, and they're even considering an HD version of Melty Blood in the future.
