AT&T U-verse Exclusive Look at EVO2K12 and the Fighting Game Community

AT&T U-verse put together a fantastic mini-documentary which takes a look at EVO2K12 and the fighting game community at large. They follow players such as Daigo, Ricky Ortiz, PR Balrog, Alex Valle and many others as they fight their way through the brackets. Many other well known members of the fighting game community are interviewed and give their thoughts on this shared passion as well.

IPL Fighters uploaded a ton of new match footage for Dead or Alive 5 featuring Ayane, Elliot, Jann Lee and many others not to mention a look at some of the newly announced stages. NAMCO recently released a slew of new screenshots that feature many of the various ways you can customize your characters in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Not only can you equip them with special items that have various effects but you can even change their character select screen profile picture. Seth Killian Talks Old School Arcade Culture and Street Fighter II in Latest Interview

Penny Arcade posted up an interview with Seth Killian (aka clothhand) where he reminisces about the old school arcade culture with players slowly figuring out new, cheap tactics for Street Fighter II to beat their opponents. He talks on the mentality of what it takes to win in that type of environment and the trill that came with beating someone -- even if only 25 cents was on the line.

Just a quick heads up that the second installment of our ranbats for Season 5 at Southtown Arcade is this weekend! SF 25th Anniversary Global Tournament Series - NYC Qualifier - Replays Now Live on YouTube!

The latest North American qualifier for the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Global Tournament series went down in New York City this past weekend and if you missed the broadcast live the replays are now live on YouTube. This ended up being an amazing tournament with NYC players holding it down for three out of four of the games. Street Fighter  x Tekken picked up a lot of steam this past weekend as well with some very entertaining matches from players all over the country. Be sure to check it out as it may sway your opinion of the game.

TTT2: World Tekken Federation Online Service Reveal Trailer

NAMCO BANDAI released their latest trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 that showcases many of the online features players can expect with what they've dubbed the "World Tekken Federation". Outside of player and ranked matches, you can save replays, track your stats and form teams. This is all a great start for a fully fleshed out online experience, but it all comes down to how well the netcode performs. We'll find out next month!

Catwoman Revealed in Latest Injustice: Gods Among Us Gameplay Trailer

Netherrealm Studio released their latest trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us -- a DC comics fighting game -- and it revealed the newest addition to the roster: Catwoman. The trailer is full of gameplay footage that showcases her melee and whip attacks not to mention a few instances of stage interaction. Check it out after the jump.

NEO GEO X GOLD Handheld Coming to North America on December 6th, Includes TV Docking Station and Joystick

SNK Playmore is set to release the NEO GEO X GOLD here in North America via Tommo come December 6th and will cost you 200 bucks. While that may sound like a lot for a handheld like this, it includes a TV docking station that allows you to hook it up through HDMI or composite inputs and play the the games using an authentic Neo Geo joystick which is also included.

Beyond that, the system has 20 pre-loaded games (find the list after the jump) and is said to have a memory slot that allows you to load more games onto the system. How this will work has yet to be determined, though it is sorely needed as the list of pre-loaded games will leave most of us wishing for more.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R Coming to Japanese Arcades on September 20th, New Screenshots

Arc System Works announced that Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R is set to release in Japanese arcades come September 20th. The game will run on the arcade hardware RingEdge 2 and contains a multitude of balance tweaks for the entire cast. A few new screenshots hit the web recently as well which you can check out at the link below.

The PS3 and 360 port of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus (not R) is currently in the works as a downloadable title but there is no new information on that release at this time.
