Street Fighter IV AE 2012 "Experiments in the Lab 7" by Luparez

In the wake of a new installment in the Street Fighter IV series comes another great video from Luparez. "Experiments in the Lab" is an ongoing series of Luparez's findings in training mode, leading to the discovery of some interesting and unique combos, mixups and resets for a handful of the cast. Although not everything in the video is suitable for competitive play, the video contains some jaw-dropping moments and useful ideas alike, so players can watch the video to be entertained and intrigued.

Luparez's channel also holds all his previous entries in the "Experiements in the Lab" series, which still contain great ideas that can be carried over to Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Ultra Street Fighter IV Bracket Notables for Evo 2014

With Evolution 2014 having the most players in Evolution history, there will be a lot of good players spread out all over the 125 Ultra Street Fighter IV brackets. A lot of old faces have shown up from the days before Street Fighter IV, but also a lot of new faces are here to make their names known on the biggest stage in fighting games.

I have compiled a list of notable players for Ultra Street Fighter IV. As a note, I’ve added a double forward slash symbol ( “ // “ ) to indicate what side of the bracket the player is in their pool, as I felt like this was important for predicting pools outcomes. Names separated by the forward slash are on opposite sides of the bracket. Pools with no names in front of them means I have not found notable players in that pool.

Punishing Quesadilla Bomb in Ultra Street Fighter IV by Bebopaloobop

Recently, Manny Fuerte took first place in the new Ultra Street Fighter IV at Spring Fighter 2014 at the NYU Game Center, showing off the changes to El Fuerte. One of the highlights of El Fuerte at SF2014 was his Quesadilla Bomb, which saw considerably more use in this tournament with the improvements to the special. However, the move was such a rare occurrence in the previous iterations of Street Fighter IV that the move went relatively unpunished at this tournament.

Thankfully, YouTube user Bebopaloobop (@buckowens on Twitter) has created a video on punishing El Fuerte’s Quesadilla Bomb, showcasing every character’s ability to punish the move in various forms. Bebopaloop states in the description of his video that although the move is better, it is still very punishable, and states that stand blocking the move will always result in an easier punish than crouch blocking. Hit the jump to learn your character’s specific options!

Capcom Releasing Balance Change Videos for USF4

With Ultra Street Fighter IV just on the horizon, Capcom Fighters is putting out a series of videos regarding the differences in each character. Although the videos do not show off all the changes that will be implemented in the new iteration, it does show the highlighted changes in action, giving players a visual representation of how some of the changes will affect their characters.

Currently there are videos for only a handful of the cast, but it seems more videos like these will be released as the console release date of the game, which was recently revealed as June 3, gets closer.

Also revealed at the end of the videos is a new frame data app made by BradyGames. The app will be downloadable on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store alongside the console release of Ultra Street Fighter 4.
