Yoshimitsu, With New Look, Returning to Tekken 7 as Time-Release Character on May 12

Following Jin, his devil counterpart, Josie and Gigas, the next upcoming character for Tekken 7 is a series regular ever since appearing in the original Tekken.

Yoshimitsu was announced to appear in Tekken 7 as a time-release character planned for May 12 availability in Japanese arcades. Much like every major Tekken entry, the Manji Clan's warrior will be sporting a new look featuring tentacles around his body including his head.

For those who live in Japan, he will be playable exactly at 9:00 a.m. in Japan time. For now you can take a quick look of what he has in store after the jump!

Archive of Hokuto no Ken 4th Sekimatsu Butoukai Final Tournament 3v3 Team Battle

If you want to watch a large scale Hokuto no Ken tournament, you can find it after the jump!

The Sekimatsu Butoukai Final Tournament is a 3v3 team tournament that took place at e-Sports Square Akihabara on May 4. In addition to the 3v3 team tournament, a team battle exhibition was held where players under 29 years old fought against those over 30.

The whole event was streamed by the Game Newton production team. If you are looking for basketball infinites, fast Fatal KOs or low tier characters beating the top tier with clean quality at 60 fps, make sure to watch!

Archive of Japan's Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown 5v5 Team Tournament 2015 Pre-Beat Tribe Cup

Japan's Virtua Fighter scene is going strong especially in this big team tournament.

The 2015 Pre-Beat Tribe Cup took place in e-Sports Square Akihabara on April 29, 2015, with 280 players spread around to 56 five-player teams. Like previous editions of the Pre-Beat Tribe Cup, most of the teams who participated use one character while some others have variation.

Tekken 7 Arcade Update Features Balance Changes To Cast Including New Characters

The latest patch for Tekken 7 in arcades is all about balance changes.

Version Fo8 is the latest build featuring changes to characters including the newer time-release additions such as Josie and Gigas. While fully listed with character-specific moves changed, Namco omitted detailed information on how they act in game. They want players to find out for themselves whether or not their favorite character was modified for better or worse. You can find the full notes below.

In addition to the balance changes, the patch also includes a minor change to an item attack as well as general bug fixes.

Players in both Japan and South Korea gain access to the changes so if you live in any of these countries and play Tekken, go try out the changes yourself at your local arcade!

Cyberbots, Project Justice, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure & More From A-CHO's Capcom Histrical-vsgame Olympic 2015

Neo Amusement Space A-CHO's annual Capcom Histrical-vsgame Olympic returned to celebrate old and new fighting games from Capcom.

Kyoto, Japan's popular game center recorded their multi-game tournament series on Jan. 12 featuring creations such as Street Fighter EX2 Plus, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Project Justice, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure & Cyberbots. While there is high-level footage of most of the aforementioned games, Cyberbots is the least common of the bunch so footage of that will be new to most fighting game players.

Footage of Tekken 7's New Character Gigas In Both Practice & Online, Jin, Devil Jin & Josie Playable in Korea

The fourth time-release character for Tekken 7 is now available to use in Japan.

From his reveal in Chokaigi 2015, Gigas is one of the new characters for the latest Tekken. He was originally teased in Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection in Sergei Dragunov's ending. Now fully playable, Gigas has moves from Craig Marduk and Jack while featuring a newer assortment exclusive to the character.

Guntama recorded Gigas in both practice and online match modes which you can check after the jump. For those who want to try Gigas, a movelist is available.

While Gigas isn't available in South Korea, the other three time-release characters have landed there. Players can try out Jin Kazama, Devil Jin and Josie Rizal now.

Examu's Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel Coming to Japanese Arcades on April 30

A new anime fighting game will be arriving to the NESiCAxLive system in Japan in late April.

Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel is planned for an April 30 release in Japanese arcades. Developed by Arcana Heart creators Examu, Nitroplus Blasterz features a dream match of characters owned by visual novel company Nitroplus. You can check the initial list of characters and assists below but more will be coming including Saber from the popular series Fate/stay night and Fate/Zero.

Examu was also known for developing Aquapazza: Aquaplus Dream Match, a similar game with characters owned by Aquaplus and Leaf.

Korea's Knee, Qudans & More Square Off Online in Tekken 7 Arcade Matches

You can check hours upon hours of Tekken 7 Korean match footage after the jump!

Taktak1893, known for uploading various match videos for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, is back for T7 with South Korean online sets. This includes players such as Knee and Qudans facing each other in a near two-hour long Kazuya mirror and some of Malgu's Marshall Law.

Training & Online Match Videos of Tekken 7's Josie Rizal by Guntama

Although she was released only hours ago in Japan, in-game footage of Josie Rizal has already surfaced.

Much like Jin and Devil Jin before, Tekken 7 player Guntama recorded almost three hours of footage of Josie in both Practice and Online matches. For Bruce Irvin players, this is essential watching especially for those going to EVO 2015.

Players can also check out the move list for Josie here. While Josie is available in Japan along with Jin and Devil Jin, the time-release characters have not been playable in South Korea.

Tekken 7's Josie Rizal Now Available in Japanese Arcades

Tekken's first Filipino character is now available to play for those in Japan.

Josie Rizal is the third time-release character for Tekken 7, following Jin and Devil Jin's release. While information is still limited, reports reveal that she bears multiple moves and strings from series regular Bruce Irvin.

Stay tuned for videos of Josie in the coming days but check out the reveal trailer for Josie after the jump. If you live in Japan and play Tekken 7, go try her out now!

Pokken Tournament Pre-Release Online Battle Event Announced, Special Program at Chokaigi 2015

Two Pokkén Tournament events were announced for the month of April in Japan.

Both Game Station Palo Ichikawa Shop in Chiba and Molly Fantasy F Ibaraki Shop in Osaka will be hosts for another Pokkén Tournament location test. From April 18-19, players from both areas can battle each other through the online battle mode.

Pokkén Tournament will also be in the annual Chokaigi event at Chiba's Makuhari Messe convention center on April 25-26. As part of the Cho Game stage, the Pokkén Tournament presentation will include new announcements, an exhibition featuring various voice actors in the Japanese version of the Pokémon animated series and more. Guests including Bandai Namco Games' Katsuhiro Harada will be in attendance.

If you live near either of these game centers or are going to attend Chokaigi 2015, make sure to check Pokkén Tournament!

Devil Jin Playable in Tekken 7 in Japanese Arcades, Practice & Match Footage

The demonic half of Jin Kazama is back for the newest Tekken game and you can check him out after the jump!

Making up the last third of Mishima characters appearing in Tekken 7, Devil Jin maintains many of his moves from previous Tekken games as well as some new ones. The newer additions are to help work with the screw attack system, and some are nods to the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 version of Angel.

Jin Kazama Now Playable in Tekken 7, Over Two Hours of Footage

The first time release character for Tekken 7 arrives in arcades. You can take a gander at what one of the series' iconic characters plays in this new iteration.

Jin Kazama comes to Tekken 7 with a majority of his major moves retained with some replaced to cater to the new combo system.

After the jump, a YouTube user by the name of GuntamaMiraclein uploaded arcade footage, from Koenji Game Studio Cube, of Jin through both practice and online battle modes.

To those who have access to Tekken 7 in Japan, you can play Jin now! Devil Jin will be available on April 7.

South Korea's Knee Privately Practices Tekken 7's Changes & Intricacies

While Kuro Kuro is handling the stream for the initial public release of Tekken 7 in Japan, one of South Korea's best had the chance to learn the ins and outs of the newest iteration.

Bae Jae Min, commonly known as Knee, was able to practice Tekken 7 before the eventual release in Korea. His almost four hour long stream has him try out a majority of the available characters and examine the newer mechanics exclusive to T7.

For those who might go to Final Round, EVO or any other event that will feature T7, this archive is essential to getting yourself prepared. Notable aspects in the archive include Kazuya's hellsweep to heaven's gate in Devil mode and Paul being able to cancel his rage art for more combo damage.

Singles & Team Tournament Footage from England's Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Gutter Trash Vol. 4

England's big Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike tournament series returned to bring players from the nation and the rest of Europe to parry on.

The fourth edition of Gutter Trash took place at Heart of Gaming in London on Feb. 21. It was organized by the 3rd Strike UK Facebook group. The Shend re-uploaded matches from both singles and the team tournaments of Gutter Trash. The footage features players from all over England and some from neighboring European countries including France and Sweden.

Tekken 7 at JAEPO 2015 Shows Off Lucky Chloe & Shaheen, New Korean Arcade Stick Parts in Production

Courtesy of Japanese website 4Gamer, Bandai Namco Games' Katsuhiro Harada, in a Pikachu outfit, showed off both Lucky Chloe and Shaheen at the Japanese Arcade Expo. This event is the first time the public can try out Shaheen before its initial Feb. 18 release.

Meanwhile in Korea, Crown (also known as Samducksa) has been working on new arcade stick parts in time for Tekken 7. One of their latest offerings is the CWL-307 lever. Offered in Japanese and Korean stick mounts, the CWL-307 given to testers also includes different tension material such as silicone and latex, outside of the usual rubber tension. Each of the tension material differs in feel ranging from light to heavy force. Also tested were the 207H buttons. They are screw-in buttons with a special quick-disconnect feature and mechanical keyboard switches installed.

Three Day South Korean Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Event at Green Game Land Arcade Announced

While Tekken 7 is coming soon, South Korea will have another special Tekken Tag Tournament 2 event in one of the nation's major arcades while waiting.

"Tekken the King Tournament" will be taking place in Seoul's Green Game Land arcade on Feb. 13-15. The three days will have players JDCR, Secret, Jundding, Nin, Saint, Help Me and Lowhigh play in a round robin format to determine who will will be the winner.

The tournament will be streamed at Green Game Land's Twitch channel with commentary from arcade patron Malgu. You can tune into the event at 1:00 a.m. PST/4:00 a.m. EST.

Off-Screen Footage & Event Photos from Pokkén Tournament Location Test

Image by 4GamerBandai Namco and Nintendo held a location test for their collaborative game, Pokkén Tournament. Here are some things shown at the event.

The public was able to try out the game for the first time with the controller made for it at Namco Lazona Kawasaki. The arcade cabinets also provided instrucional marquees to teach players the game controls and special moves from various Pokémon such as Lucario, Machamp and Pikachu. The cabinets were also connected for online play against another location test venue Namco Umeda.

4Gamer attended the Lazona Kawasaki test venue and provided pictures here. A YouTube user named seadraDS was also at the same venue to snag a near half-hour worth of footage you can find after the jump!

Saber, Others Join the Cast of Nitroplus Blasterz

Four new characters will be making appearances in Examu's upcoming game based on Nitroplus properties. Both Saber from Fate/Zero and Ethica Kibanohara from Tokyo Necro will be making an appearance as playable characters, while Super Sonico and Akane Tsunemori from Psycho Pass will be featured as assist characters.

Nitroplus Blasterz will give players control of one main character and two partner characters that will act as assists. The game is currently in development for arcade release in Japan in 2015.

Japanese Match Footage of Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire from Neo Amusement Space a-cho

Jackie Chan had a fighting game and you should check it out after the jump!

Kyoto, Japan's Neo Amusement Space a-cho game center recorded more than three hours of footage from Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire.

The game was an expansion to Kaneko's The Kung-Fu Master Jackie Chan which uses digitized sprites similar to the original Mortal Kombat trilogy.

In Fists of Fire, all three forms of Jackie Chan are playable. The rest of the cast were played by actors who appeared in various Jackie Chan films including Andy Lau and Jackie Chan stunt team member Sam Wong. But why would you not play as Jackie Chan? Even losing a round, he is grateful when you beat him!
