Nacon announces Daija Arcade Stick for PS4 at Gamescom 2018, coming Fall 2018 in Europe

[Update Aug. 23 2:00am PDT]: The Daija stick does carry Sanwa Denshi parts according to Kayane.

European peripherals manufacturer Nacon is joining the arcade stick fray with its own design.

Called the Daija Arcade Stick, this product is a change for Nacon, who is more commonly associated for its third-party controllers for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as PC accessories. This will work for PS4, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The stick has a box-like aesthetic with a noticeable hand rest just below the main panel as well as a grille pattern on the side. The main panel seems that it can be customizable to allow custom artwork. The right side, which includes special controls, also features a red button that likely allow players instant access to the Daija's internals. It also features headset support. As for the stick's parts, it's currently unknown what it will offer but the box does hint that the Daija will possibly be using those from Sanwa Denshi.

This was announced at Gamescom 2018 in Cologne, Germany. Along with promotion from Nacon themselves, French player Marie-Laure "Kayane" Norindr was also promoting the stick.

According to Kayane, the Daija Arcade Stick is planned for a Fall 2018 release in Europe for €199.99. She also mentioned that there are plans to release it outside the region.

France's Gaming Live checks out KOFXIV, coming to Europe on Aug. 26, 2016 by Deep Silver

French gaming production company Gaming Live had the chance to show off the game before its appearance at this year's Stunfest tournament. Commentator Ken Bogard was joined by KOF players Frionel, Piccolo and Mrquaraté in demonstrating some of the new characters and the game-specific mechanics. With these players, matches are aplenty.

If you are not going to Stunfest this weekend, the KOFXIV stream will be handled by Frionel. More information can be found here.

In a press release by publisher Deep Silver, KOFXIV will be available in Europe on Aug. 26, 2016, close to that of the Asian and North American releases. Players can soon preorder a day-one-only steel case as well as the classic Kyo outfit DLC. The physical and digital versions of KOFXIV will be priced at €59.99 in most of Europe and £49.99 in the United Kingdom.

Top Four Footage of Mortal Kombat Cup UK Grand Final in London, England

Warner Bros. organized a special Mortal Kombat X tournament throughout the United Kingdom with the top four featured after the jump!

The Mortal Kombat Cup UK Grand Final took place in London, England's Gfinity Arena on May 30, 2015. It also served as one of the four qualifiers where players can get an entry to the grand finals. Other qualifiers took place in Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, Scotland.

The finals were streamed and captured by English streaming group Unequalled Media. A F0xy Grandpa, Used for Glue, Undead Jim and Aixy were the four qualified players, and first place was given £3000 ($4600) while second place received £1000 ($1536).

Trailer for 3rd Strike UK's Gutter Trash Vol. 5, July 24 & 25 at London's The Heart of Gaming

England can't get enough of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike as the next Gutter Trash tournament will be coming later this year.

The fifth edition of the nation's dedicated event will return to The Heart of Gaming center in London on July 24-25. Like past entries, the tournament will all be played on Japanese cabinets using the original CPS3 hardware to run 3rd Strike.

Group Brackets for London's Premiere Tekken Tournament Lionz Den 2 Now Available

The next big Tekken-exclusive event will be in London, England, with 128 players from all over the world competing.

The second iteration of the Lionz Den tournament series reached its player cap and released the group brackets that you can find from the image on the left. With players from England taking most of the spots, players from neighboring European countries and the rest of the world will be attending including Italy's Harry Potter, South Korea's JDCR and Help Me and the United States' KOR.

The tournament will take place on April 4-5, 2015, and will be streamed by Realmenace on Twitch. You can follow organizer Lion-O on Twitter for updates on the event.

Singles & Team Tournament Footage from England's Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Gutter Trash Vol. 4

England's big Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike tournament series returned to bring players from the nation and the rest of Europe to parry on.

The fourth edition of Gutter Trash took place at Heart of Gaming in London on Feb. 21. It was organized by the 3rd Strike UK Facebook group. The Shend re-uploaded matches from both singles and the team tournaments of Gutter Trash. The footage features players from all over England and some from neighboring European countries including France and Sweden.

European Release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Dated for Nov. 21, 2014

Players in Europe can get their hands on the Persona 4 Arena follow up in the coming weeks.

The European end of Sega confirmed in September that they will be publishing Persona 4 Arena Ultimax for the region. Sega also updated that it will be available on Nov. 21, 2014.

Like the North American version, P4AU will be available in both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. Pre-orders of P4AU will feature bonus tarot cards based on the Persona 4 games.

The original Persona 4 Arena, published in Europe by Zen United, met with development issues when trying to release the game. The game came in May 2013, nine and ten months after the North American and Japanese releases respectively.

Details On Dedicated Ultra Street Fighter IV Arena At Dreamhack Summer 2014

Here are the latest details on what's in store for Ultra Street Fighter IV at the next iteration of Dreamhack Summer!

Dreamhack Summer 2014 in Jönköping, Sweden will feature a dedicated Ultra Street Fighter IV arena that can seat up to 300 people. With help from WorstGiefEver of Armshouse, some of the more notable matches will be streamed on the arena's main stage with commentary from players Necromina and Logan Sama.

From June 14-15, the tournament has a total prize pot of 50,000 SEK ($7,500) for the top four competitors. Dreamhack Summer also serves as a tier 2 Capcom Pro Tour qualifier with first place can earn 128 points in order to qualify for Capcom Cup later this year.

Digital Distribution For Persona 4 Arena In Europe Currently Handled By Atlus

The Persona 4 fighter in Europe is back with its original company following a controversial publishing period.

Siliconera reports that developer and publisher Atlus now has digital distribution rights to Persona 4 Arena in Europe following the game's removal from the PlayStation Store on May 22, 2014. There is currently no reason behind this acquisition. The game can still be found in retail stores across Europe and downloaded in PSS if already owned.

P4A in Europe was originally handled by English publisher Zen United. After the summer 2012 releases in Japan and North America, P4A in Europe was hit with delays until it eventually came out in May 2013.

There is also no information whether or not Atlus will be involved in publishing its upcoming followup, Persona 4 Ultimax, in the region.

Ryan Hart Interview With Justin Wong At Stunfest 10

Two strong fighting game players from Europe and North America talked to each other at Stunfest 10 about various competitive topics.

At the big French tournament, Ryan Hart interviewed Evil Geniuses' Justin Wong about his experiences there. Topics Wong mentioned included the grand finals match against Luffy in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 and placing high after playing Breakers Revenge for the first time.

Wong also listed are the current best players in the United States and Europe and which are worthy to fight in a USA vs. Europe team battle.

The international fighting game tournament Stunfest concluded and here is footage from the event!

WorstGiefEver of Armshouse streamed Stunfest, at Rennes, France, and uploaded tournament footage of both Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 singles and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike teams. Armshouse released a substantial amount of bracket matches from SSIV as well as the entire top 10. 3rd Strike teams was also streamed featuring the top three groups.

Organized by Paris Tekken Arena, Ultimate Tournament XV took place on April 26, 2014 in France and is the second year to feature Tekken Tag Tournament 2. This edition of UT featured many competitors from Europe including Italy's Harry Potter and England's StarScream; This year's international talent featured Lil Majin from the United States, El Negro from Venezuela and Japan's Buriburimaru and Mattari.

Players Fight Bala In Kumite During International Video Game Cup

A couple of weeks ago, Bala was in Cannes, France, for the nation's big fighting game tournament and also participated in a special kumite session of King of Fighters XIII!

The Evolution 2012 finalist played the session with various players while attending the International Video Game Cup, previously known as World Game Cup. The kumite session was recorded by Gunsmith of Orochinagi.

Trailer For ESGN TV's Fight Night Season Two & Three - Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012, Premiering Feb. 24

ESGN TV revealed the trailer for the next two seasons of the upcoming Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Ver. 2012 edition of Fight Night!

The trailer features the returning set of players from season one, Infiltration, Xian and Alioune, as well as the new competitors, Laugh, Chi-Rithy, K-Brad and Sanford Kelly! This was another chance for the players to stay safe and settle with small prize money or can go for the $25,000 grand prize!

Assembly Winter 2014's Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Event On February 1 In Helsinki, Finland

Finland's major esports event Assembly will be bring a fighting game into the mix!

Assembly's Winter edition, held in Helsinki, featuring games such as DOTA2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, will also have Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as one of the headlining "Professional Tournaments." Over 70 players registered for the tournament including Sweden's The Main Man and South Korea's JDCR.

England's Unequalled Media was at Eurogamer Expo covering the fighting game competition at the event's Tournament Stage.

The 2013 iteration of Eurogamer's own exhibition located in London, England's Earls Court Exhibition Centre held a special stage dedicated to competitive games including fighters.
