SFXT PC Update And CVS2 PS2 Port A Couple Of Months Off

Christian Svensson apologizes for the huge delay that PC Street Fighter X Tekken players. Details about the pricing point and release should be out by the end of the week. He says there should be some good news to share by then.

On other news, Svensson also commented on the likely release of Capcom vs. SNK 2 in the west. It has cleared some channels in emulation testing and should be out in a few months. Mind you that this is the emulated PlayStation 2 version for the PlayStation 3. It is not likely that the release will get any netplay, although one can hope.

You can check out their video archive for the entire interview after the jump.

CVS2 : Ibaraki VIP "Tao" Invitationals

On my Youtube I have uploaded some videos of a recent Japanese invitational by Ibaraki featuring Tao. They decided that it would be quite interesting if he were to run him through every single high level CVS2 player in the Kansai reigon for fun. Going against the likes of Rai, Tsugunosuke, and RCK, there is much hilarity and opposition.

So go on over and watch some C-groove Kim action! Embedded video playlist after the jump!

Hideaki Itsuno teases at remake of CvS2 and Rival Schools

Hideaki Itsuno is the creator of Rival Schools as well as the Director for the hit classic Capcom vs SNK 2. In an interview with AnimeNewsNetwork, Itsuno was asked about the possibility of a new Rival Schools title, or perhaps a re-release on Xbox Live or PSN.

"I happen to have certain plans to do things like that. I don't know if it'll come to fruition, but it's on my agenda for sure."

Additionally, when asked about the much requested Capcom vs SNK 2 remake showing up on current consoles. He could only respond that

"Funny you should ask. I'm also planning some things there."

Although there is nothing concrete about it as of yet, this is a hopeful outset for people who love Rival Schools and Capcom vs SNK 2. Both games have had a huge demand for being ported to the Xbox360 and PS3. With the HD port of Darkstalkers it seems only fitting that these two games also get a chance at the spotlight to complete the great late 90s classiscs from Capcom. So heres to hoping that a proper version of the game will be released with good netplay!

CvS2 : Ibaraki VIP's Kansai Championships

Despite the lack of an online mode for CvS2 released for PSN, it is still quite exciting to see a release port of some sort. It is with hope that they will consider a release for the states even in its current state to avoid the issue of HDTVs and old CRTs. So cheers to that!

Other than that, you should check out my Youtube for some CvS2 play, featuring Dari with his god-like C-Rugal and Geese, and Rai with his awesome Mai (lol) as they battle it out with some of Japan's best at the Kansai Championships. Kansai is where its at in Japan. Playlist after the break.
